Thinking about switching offices for a change of scenery, but it’s quite hard to do according to staffing. how normal is moving around at your company?

Very normal from what I've seen. It seems like people are always coming and going. I've only been here a year so far so I probably won't be asking to move any time soon, I'm guessing it'll be pretty easy whenever I do though.

That’s so nice - love that the option is at least there

Woah. Love that!

It seems to happen with a fair degree of frequency, so I'm inclined to think it can't be difficult to arrange. But I'm not privy to all the details of what's behind some of the moves I've seen, whether people were moved or asked to be moved. Whatever the case, there often seems to be some motion.

Yeah that’s very fair - it’s hard to tell which we’re voluntary vs not

In all the firms I’ve worked for, I haven’t seen anyone have an issue with moving office as long as it’s reasonably close to a decent airport. If you move from a low cost to high cost city, they won’t always up your salary right away but it usually equals out in the next pay raise cycle.

I love that. Here it’s a little tricky due to how they plan for capacity but I think we might be an outlier

I was listening to a Mufti Menk lecture yesterday on this topic. Surah Nashra is also about burdens we bear. Within this Surah,Allah SWT speaks about how He is the one that granted the cure, purity, and strength after the backs were about to break. Allah SWT takes us to this point to refine us. We never know our capabilities until we are tested and challenged. This is when we realize we can do it and we can get through it 🫶🏻! IA you got this 🫶🏻!
