What's the best way to find potential tax partner positions in B4? I'm willing to change firms (currently at a B4) and I have a list of about 10 markets I'm willing to move to for a partner position.
In your opinion, is being a tax partner compatible with having a family? What sacrifices would you have to make versus a more flexible position say in industry or government?
Is it possible to go into industry and ultimately achieve the same level of income as a big 4 tax partner? At what level would you leave? And what role can you get into for tax?
Exit opportunities for Tax? Is it possible to have a tax partner like salary outside of PA?
Has anyone here drafted their own prenup? Context: I am first year attorney and my partner is about to start law school part time. Other than debt and our 401ks, neither of us is bringing much to the table in terms of assets. We want a prenup to opt out of equitable distribution laws and how martial property is defined. We aren’t sure it is worth the expense of both hiring lawyers to draft what is likely to be a simple document. But we also want a prenup that will hold up in court.
Got an offer from a small biotech firm for a director role. Base is $200k plus $25k sign on plus $50k RSU with target bonus of 25%. I’m currently a M3 making $185 should be promoted to SM within the next year or so. Am I crazy to think this is a low offer?
Is it a better exit strategy to get deep technical experience or strategy experience? I was told during recruiting that 1 year here = 2 year in industry, but I’m not seeing how that trickles into tech
Hi folks! I’m currently a PM intern at a big Chicago agency but I’m looking to transfer into strategy. I don’t think I will be getting an offer from my current agency as it seems they are focusing on hiring more senior level management. Is anyone hiring or does anyone have any leads/ someone who could refer me for a junior position? It would be much appreciated as a fresh grad. Thanks!! 🤠
Top consulting firms hiring right now?
Fishes, looking for recommendations on growing business development and sales skills. Finding and growing pipelines, establishing marketing materials, closing sales, and similar for services. I have on the job experience within consulting but never any formal training or education. Entering a new role where I'll need to build organizational capabilities from scratch. Any recommendations on programs, certificates, courses, books, or other similar ideas would be greatly appreciated. TIA!
Whats the deal on rebounds? Managers who left right before being made senior manager? What do those guys call themselves and more importantly what role should them aim for?
Can anyone recommend a wireless drawing tablet? I’m not a designer but picking up that role in my freelance gig and my track pad is starting to really cramp my hand. Thanks!
My firm recently removed the CPA requirement to make manager in FDD stating that it is following the market. Being a CPA is definitely better than not being one but will it hurt my exit opportunities if I decide to not pursue my license? Do companies outside of public accounting even care that much about having your license / are others seeing this same trend?
Desi Consultants!! - who all are thinking of hiring Sima Taparia (after watching Indian matchmaking on Netflix) for finding your future significant other?
I don’t know if this is true or not, but I hope to see a day where everyone stays seated and not jump into the aisle as soon as the flight gets to gate. Wait seated to exit. A man can dream! 🤞🏼

Accenture's o9 Solution Architect (Supply Chain Planning) Opportunity - recruiter reached out for a consultant role. I'm interested, but I'm not sure if I will be pigeon holed with this role since the job title and description are specifically tied to o9. Is anyone willing to give me more insight?

What monitor would you recommend for WFH situation assuming a IB/fund role? Know there is disagreement whether one wider monitor is better than dual smaller ones so would love to hear both perspectives. Can somebody please explain to me why MBB and other top consulting firms are so adamant that you have an MBA? I majored in accounting, finance, and operations management at a top 10 undergrad business school and then got my masters in information systems from the grad school program. I took multiple MBA courses as electives when getting my masters and it seemed like those classes were very basic and easy. Idk if I would learn anything in an MBA program that I hadn’t already learned in undergrad
Looking to resign in about a month. Really need a mental break from the corporate world. I’ve amassed about 2-3 years worth of salary in my investments to hold me through for however long. How bad is it if I took 6-18 months off to pursue hobbies and possible other career paths (content creation/vlogging) while being unemployed before applying to another job in industry? TLDR; I’m about to quit, how bad does a 6-18 month employment gap look when looking to apply again to the workforce?
