Thoughts on negotiating your own layoff? We have three kids four and under and I’m about to come back to work from maternity leave. We are treading water every day while paying out the nose for childcare. I know my firm and team are not in a great place financially and layoffs are likely on the horizon. If I were on the chopping block I’d be looking at a decent severance. Can/how can I volunteer as tribute? I have a decent relationship with my boss.
