Where do I steer my career? I’m an introvert and someone who suffers from PTSD from my time on active duty. Working on some law firm applications tonight and it sucks that I know that I am so capable and have a strong work ethic but firms can’t see beyond grades or the fact that I didn’t go to a t14 law school or prestigious undergrad. Why would a luxury watch brand make/sell connected or smart watches? What is the business reason for it? To me it just kills the brand value. For instance I was a big fan of Montblanc but after I see their smart watch line up I instantly devalued the brand in general. Same for Tag (tag is questionable anyways), or Breitling. MBB AP about to exit to non-FAANG tech. Would you expect a signing bonus and/or pre-determined severance pay if things don't work out with the new company? Recently been through a rough job search and finally landed an offer with a mid size bank in their risk practice.
