I often find myself going to Investopedia, it's professionally written and edited and presents reliable info. And, of course, the business section of the NY Times. I used to watch CNBC but finally got the point where I just couldn't take it. That whole CEO as celebrity genius schtick gets pretty old.
I used to watch CNBC all the time but had the same realization you had. I’ve been reading WSJ recently and it’s still a little more reactive than I’d like. I will look more into investopedia.
Reddit and Bogleheads are great! I also like Investopedia for basics, Morningstar for fund research, and podcasts like The Money Guy Show. Are you leaning more toward index funds or something else?
Thanks! I’m aiming to focus on index funds going forward. I used to do a lot of individual stocks (and still have some as carryover) but it’s such a time investment and the return isn’t necessarily better. What do you do?
Following, unfortunately don't know a thing about investing beyond just basic retirement jazz
That’s a huge start. I think a lot of what you do and learn from investing in a 401k can be carried over to other areas too.
