Get a hair dryer brush! Completely changed my life. The revlon one often goes on sale on Amazon but even full price is like 50 bucks and worth every penny
Dry bar single shot is great if you just want for an easy blow dry! I had it and really liked but I exchanged for the Dyson airwrap (bc I had a gift card), but I think the drybar is perfectly sufficient! It’ll give you a nice style and definitely isn’t half as damaging as the revlon. I only wash about 1-2x per week as well.
Dyson air wrap!! Worth every single penny!! It’s way better than the revlon dryer brushes too
I got a refurbished one a couple weeks ago. I’m still learning, but it is a game changer for me. I used to leave my hair natural all the time, and I like it that way, but it’s nice to be able to actually style it for once.
Don't towel dry, wrap hair with a cotton shirt or silk and apply hair essence. Do you have curly or straight hair?
I’ve wavy too… since wfh, i just let them dry naturally and then use a straightener for some flyaways framing my face
Honestly I don’t wash my hair

I do twice a week but I have gone once a week before too
I french braid my hair while it’s still damp then wake up to wavy hair 😌
Following - anybody have advice for straight hair?
Why not coconut oil??
I towel dry and leave it in a towel while I get dressed. Then I put some product in and scrunch a little and that’s it. I have wavy/curly hair and it works well enough. If I want to straighten it I usually wash the night before and either use the Dyson air wrap I just got (still learning) and finish with a straightener on some small sections where it is needed in the morning or I air dry over night and straighten in the morning to minimize the heat I’m using.
Love my stain air wrap! Such a learning curve but soo easy once you have it down! My split ends have thanked me
Wavy/curly hair girl here 🙋🏼♀️
After the shower I do the normal towel wrap and put on top of my head for about 30 seconds just to dry it a little. Flip my hair down and brush it. Put in curling cream (starting at tips to cover those the most then use my fingers like a bear claw to brush my hair to spread it upwards). I use Prose for a custom solution (it’s worth it for me). Then with my hair still flipped down I twist it all in one with my finger and clip it to the top of my head using a large hair clip (this lets my hair dry a little without gravity which adds volume to the roots). Then after 5 mins or so I unclip and untwist and use my fingers to loosen it up (mostly around the roots and halfway down my hair) to spread it out to frame my face more properly. Air dry. Secret is to play with the ends as little as possible after the shower (except for putting product in, focus on the ends).
I’d say it’s averages around 3a/3b? Fluctuates by area of my head and time of day though… end of the day I’d say I average 2b, and I have a weird 4a spot somewhere in my bangs. My hair strands are thin/blonde, so the curl cream worked better than mousse - I needed to add a little weight to the strands.
get one of those brush dryers. like revlon or drybar. they are so easy and dry & style ur hair at the same time! i have straight to wavy hair and i always get a nice blowout after using :)

I plop my curls (3b/3c) in a cotton t-shirt for ~5 minutes to soak out the excess water and then apply product and let it air dry the rest of the way. It normally looks presentable by the time I’m in the Starbucks line.
Second on the plop and wrap. I have a stupid curl/wave pattern but I usually lightly squeeze out my hair, spray leave in conditioner and product while still in the shower, making sure not to brush it out and then I have a hair wrap that’s made out of a micro fiber material and leave it in there for a while
There are a million on Amazon for super cheap, I think I bought a 2-pack for $12? If you search for “microfiber hair wrap” you’ll get a bunch of results

I’m always surprised that plopping/wrapping works for people. I have 3a/3b fine/thin curls and leaving my hair up while it dries absolutely ruins my curls. I use an Ouidad lightweight gel (doesn’t leave a cast) and scrunch it into soaking wet hair while in the shower. I then scrunch the extra moisture out and let air dry.
Blow dry it. Or put lots of gel and scrunch it if I’m at the beach but i hate how it looks. My hair is wavy and frizzy (think 80s/90s teased if i brush it and just a hot mess if i don’t ) but not really curly, as i got older and put it through the horror of Japanese straightening and keratin treatments some strands are almost straight while others and wavy. So most times i let it almost try they blow dry then either add curls with dyson air wrap or curling iron. Curls get looser as days go by but i noticed this way i can go 4-5 days without washing my hair (but add some dry shampoo) and min touch up with heat tools.
