Anyone ever go on one of the nat geo expeditions? Are they worth the $$$? I really want to go on one but cannot justify the cost 😢 I was looking at the Antarctica and Patagonia expedition cruises.

Antarctica is so worth it if you can go. I went with One Ocean a couple years before they ran into all their issues and I don’t think any travel experience can top that, other than maybe a trip back there and hitting South Georgia as well.

I went on the SE Alaska one as part of a multi-generational family trip. It was a great experience. They have multiple really knowledge naturalists on board who lead talks/expeditions and are available for any question you have. Also fantastic from a logistics point of view (meal times, activities, etc) and the smaller ship was really enjoyable. How much you value the experience will likely depend on how interested you are in nature.

Ugh I want to go to Antarctica so badly but even “low end” trips start at like $8K

Same. The one I was looking at is 16k per person 🤦🏽‍♀️

Also, not sure how things are now with covid but in the past, if your timing was flexible, you could wait in Ushuaia and get on last minute for cheap if a boat still had space.

For those who have started traveling again... I recently started flying for work and am noticing increased discrimination on Delta Airlines. As a brown person have experienced that in the past, but lately it’s blatant. I’m a diamond and a million miler however, I see more and more out of turn upgrades. Have you experienced and what dis you do about it?

Anyone’s con Ed bill extraordinarily high this month? Mine is ~$400. I’ve gotten mail notice from con Ed needing to install a “smart meter” and for every month missed it’s a $100 fee. I am still applying to new jobs but I was told it is impossible to move up the grade level now. Everyone is telling me to stick with the government. What are your thoughts?
