Most partnership agreements lay out the severance. I would say at least six months for a large firm
Factors like length of service, time to retirement and perhaps others will come into play
My early retirement from my last firm at 52 was 2 years
I was offered but it was voluntary
Minimum six months.
9-12 months for any tenure in the 5-10 year range.
More bespoke negotiation beyond that, but unlikely to go beyond 18 months or so.
