Hi folks,
I've got an offer from Netcracker recently.
Based on the salary discussion, HR released the offer with 2Lakh less as promised and now telling me over and over again that they will revice it near the joining date and this is the process they follow for every candidate so that they don't go and shop in the market.Do you think I should trust them as they haven't given me anything in written but keeps on promising me over phone calls that closer to my joining date they will revise the offer.

Just be upfront and ask them if it’s even an option. Our company starts people at the office, but allows them to “graduate” to work from home if they’re able to keep their metrics within a certain range when they’re in the office
They either have the infrastructure to handle work from home request requests or they don't. Asking won't really change that, and at least you'll know whether or not you want to pursue the job based on what they are willing to accommodate. I don't think you need to ask in any sort of strategic way, it's a pretty straightforward question.
Generally, companies that do offer remote or hybrid work are up front about it. That being said, I have seen companies where it is entirely up to the manager of the department as to whether they allow it or not.
