So I've seen a number of articles floating around recently saying all Americans (not just the priority groups) could get the covid-19 vaccines by April. Thoughts on whether that is actually highly likely? I initially thought end of 2021 was more likely, but perhaps I should be more optimistic?

Senior up for promo to manager in audit in next year. Have decided I do not want to be an auditor. Which of these paths do you think is best? 1. Stay 1 more year, exit to industry with manager title. 2. Move to advisory internally, but most likely would have to do one more year in audit and move as audit manager to advisory sr 3. Exit immediately into industry to try for accounting manager title / senior accountant or sr fin analyst 4. Exit immediately to advisory senior at another big 4 firm

Moving to NYC from Europe. Gonna make 170-180k pre Bonus. My partner is a student in NYC. How much rent can I afford in the city if I want to still have a fun life. My partner can chip in 1.5 to 2k per month.

My firms bonus structure is based on “billed out” (what a partner actually bills to the client) dollars instead of actual hours billed. So you can work 2000 hours but the bonus is based on only 1850 hours, because 150 got cut over the year. Is this normal? It seems entirely unfair and makes it impossible to get a bonus.

About to hit 1 YOE in my first job post grad and have a feeling raises/market adjustments won’t be sufficient due to Covid even though the firm seems to be meeting expectations in terms of the feedback we’ve received from management. I know the usual advice for saving is emergency fund - 401k up to match - max IRA - max 401k - HSA?/personal brokerage. However, where does saving for a house deposit and car deposit (want used but only ~2-3 yrs old) fit in? I’m 26, 100k salary and have been trying to put away 3k per month into HYSA/emergency fund, was maxing 401k at ~$800 per pay period (lowered to $400 a month a few months ago since no firm match and would like to put $ into HYSA/house/car fund), and $500/month to max IRA.
