St Regis butler emailed me so many times before my trip that I felt like I was going to the St regis just to visit him. When I met him, it was as if we already knew each other.

Not against Texas Dems breaking quorum but it does look like the media is biased. Edited ty MD1
At what point do you talk salary with a recruiter? Want to get it out of the way because if expectations aren’t in line no point in continuing discussions, but don’t want to bring it up too soon?
My dad is generally supportive of me, but downplays my accomplishments and treats my confidence like arrogance. He barely acknowledges my wins and can be slightly (but not overly) negative. He does say he’s proud of me once in a while, but I do feel like my feelings are often invalidated. For what it’s worth, he’s an Asian dad and will always see me as his kid rather than an adult. Any advice? I try not to seek approval, but I do live with my parents (moved out then back in due to COVID)
Me on my new project
I've noticed a direct report of another manager has consistently been putting in some crazy hours and always delivering amazing work. How do I approach her manager and suggest she give that employee time in lieu? I don't think she's across how late they work, so they may not know the exact details, but I think it's important to recognise the effort being put in by this person. Is me asking stepping on toes as it's not my DR? How do I tackle this conversation?

Hi Fishes, Accenture has openings in their mobilization team under the ops division. I have been offered a role at CL9 with fixed component of around 15 LPA. I have 5.5 YOE. The offer is approximately a 100% hike on my previous salary however i was able to negotiate on my current offers from from EY and FSL (both less than Accenture offer). Is the HR lowballing me and would you have any feedback for the mobilization team. Thanks

If I was going to make a transition to another firm (possibly Tier 2 or Big 4), when would be an appropriate time to do so? I have about 9 months of experience with IBM thus far. Wait 2 years? Less?
I fired my largest client today. 🙀 Sometimes it just isn't a good fit. It has to be a fit for not only my client but also for my agency. We're selective about the work we take on because relationships do matter, and strong relationships = better results. Today was liberating. What a breath of fresh air. We are accepting new clients for everything marketing related including graphic design, website design and development, SEO, digital campaigns, product photography, and video production.
How much better are the exits ops from MBB vs T2. Don’t think I want to do consulting forever. But close to getting offer to lateral. Do I take it and exit in 1-2 years or just exit from T2? Thanks 🐠

Could use some 🐠 advice here! Two outstanding offers: - KPMG: Procurement Consulting Practice - Accenture: Business Intelligence Practice Both offers are comparable. Next week I’m having my first lateral interview as a junior associate. I’m very nervous because the group with whom I’m interviewing works with life science/tech clients and the attorneys have strong science/tech backgrounds; and I do not. However, I am very, very interested in transitioning to this practice. And I reaaally want this job because it’s at my dream firm. How would you recommend preparing for the lateral interview?
