Just received an offer letter for 80k with 10% bonus structure, 3 YOE, Houston TX for full cycle recruitment including college recruiting (would be the only recruiter, company went public this year)… 80k was the salary they would offer “the right candidate”, wondering if I should counter? We are a small firm with less than 5 attorneys.
The compensation level for our calibre of firm is quite low but this is mainly to do with lack of adequate cash flow.
We have started weekly billing meetings to remind staff of their targets and encourage income but the meetings are often poorly attended and the explanation for low billing is always the same, attorney did not get to the work.
