Are you an Australian citizen or PR? If not, you’ll need to network to get around the AI automatically rejecting everyone who can’t check that box.
I know how exhausting it must feel to send over 50 applications and still get no response. That kind of effort shows how committed you are, and I truly respect that.
Its like you get fuel without engine when you have experiences with no professional ATS resume. Yes ATS resume is handled by professional ATS writers because they know what the hiring managers are expecting from you. It's high time you thrashed your old resume and upgrade into ATS, the trending one in today's job market
But sometimes, even with all that work, small things like how the resume is structured, missing keywords, or not tailoring each application can keep you from getting noticed, especially with the way ATS systems filter resumes now.
It might not be you, but the approach. Instead of applying more, maybe it’s time to apply smarter. I’d be glad to help review your CV or see if there’s something small holding things back.
Also, you might want to try other methods like reaching out to recruiters directly, getting referrals, or attending online networking events. These often lead to better results than just online applications alone.
You’ve already done the hard part now it’s just about fine tuning the strategy a little. I really believe interviews will start coming once a few things are adjusted.
Feel free to let me know if I can help
Welcome to the club brother..
I am also looking for Junior ICT support position atm.
Let me tell you what happens when you lie and dont lie in resume.
When Lied:
I saw there was ICT Support officer jobs at this company and I was bit tired of tweeking my resume at that time and just edited whatever job description even though i didnt have all experience which required more than 3 years, blah blah, and knowledge lied about certificate and said i had Certificate IV and currently studying bachelor. But i made a resume and applied. Guess what, I got phone call and set up an interview with 4 people from that company.
Well you can guess what happened after that by reading my second line in this comment.
When you don't lie:
It was same(from when lied) until i applied with actual qualifications which i didnt had any, experience i have more than a year in tech field. Luckily i landed in 2 interviews and we talked, i have shown what i knew. Explained with honesty told them i dont have industry experience but i do have knowledge about tools and equipments that is used to work and i know how things works in real life.
At the end of interview, i was told i am going in right field, also they will contact me for futher details.
After that not a single bloody response. At least they could send an email that i was not selected and at least i could move on to apply another job. They ghosted me and i was waiting 2-3 weeks as they told me it can take upto 3 weeks.
Thats my experience.
