First day back from 20 weeks of paternity leave and I miss my baby, even though I am wfh :(
I need my crypto to go the moon so I can retire and be a stay at home dad.
Any hiring managers for PwC that are hiring for SA?
Areas of Interest: Healthcare, Sales/Marketing, Deals, and Tech (functional)
Would someone be willing to share their resume that they used to break into consulting from a life sciences healthcare background? I have 3 years of research and 1 year of consulting/strategy and my resume needs more substance but I feel lost. Thank you!
Has anyone ever given their two weeks notice while on maternity/paternity leave? Hesitant to give a full two weeks as I’m worried I might be let go early so they don’t have to pay me for the full two weeks. Thoughts?
I have recently joined PwC SDC as an Associate 2. Wanted to know that is there any smartphone reimbursement or mobile phone program here.
Hey guys just started with the firm (graduated undergrad this December), and I was wondering if you guys had any basic pointers on personal finance, which funds to select 401k, etc. Thanks!
About health insurance: switching to a different plan next year that only allows for FSA account. My current plan gives me an HSA account. Can I keep my HSA for next year but also have an FSA?
Has anyone had to defend themselves at their firm when coming back from maternity leave? My firm decided to hire an associate (male married with no kids) instead of a per diem to cover my cases.
Guess my pay.
I have 15+ years of experience.
I am an individual contributor. I do not manage people.
I have never been a manager.
My job title is "software engineer".
I have worked at multiple FANG-level companies. Currently at a FANG.
I work between 30 and 35 hours a week.
I am remote and can work from anywhere in the US.
For precision I will use my 2021 W-2 gross and include my company's 401k match.
Comment with a number and I'll tell you if my pay was above or below the number.
Question for directors and partners: What are the benefits of becoming a partner other than $$? Do you think a person should love or like their job enough to become a partner? Or being good at is sufficient to drive growth?
I don’t love what I do, but I’m good at it. I’m up for promotion, the leadership likes me and hint me that I can become a partner in a few years. Other than the financial benefit of it, I don’t know if there is anything else excites me. I find it difficult and + CONT BELOW
That moment when your take-home bonus (after tax and 401k) is equal to your gross bonus last year
If I am joining big4 from one of its audited clients, and I hold the restricted stocks in the employer benefit/retirement account, will I have to close that 401k account or sell restricted securities within that 401k account before joining big4? Or will be given 90 days after joining big4 to roll over/dispose those securities?
Those of you who have left PwC before - I’m resigning soon and I anticipate being put on garden leave. What do I need to prior to resigning to ensure I still have access to my 401k/wealth builder money, etc etc?? Appreciate any guidance!
Can our BCG friends "explain like I'm 5" the difference between applying to BCG/Omnia/Plantinion/etc. (beyond what website says), specifically why someone should want to apply via one vs. the other? E.g. If I have 8 years consulting experience, mostly healthcare but primarily as a "dabbler," but want to optimize alignment (for salary, WLB, etc.)
First day of solo paternity leave - this is way harder than I thought! Wish my wife worked we Deloitte for the maternity leave!
Is it appropriate to ask about benefits in an interview? E.g., maternity/paternity, WFH policy, etc.
Currently working my way up from Dark Souls 1 to Elden Ring (sorry demon souls 😂) but I was wondering do any of you prefer M&K to controller? I’ve been playing M&K but I’ve used both. What are y’all’s thoughts??
We all know the news are often fabricated and sensationalized for the sake of garnering more attention. What does this process actually look like in practice?
Do I need to disclose my investments at CBRE?
Best places for deals on nice women’s work clothes in the city? Looking for something higher end and long lasting than BR/AT!
Any one joined PWC AC Hyderabad recently?
I have both Miles Sanders and Kenneth Gainwell.
Touches are 2:1 in favor of sanders but Gainwell has been more productive and scored 2tds to Sanders’ 0.
Would I be crazy to start Gainwell over Sanders?
Right time to get in ALGO?
Accelerated vesting starts tomorrow (more coin release to the earlier backers). This is expected to run for a week time.
We have Netflix in FAANG, yet don’t see much discussion about the company. What’s up with it?
I’m a single 29 year old guy and I’ve been staying with my parents through the pandemic. Still have an apartment 2.5 hours away from my parents so I go there once and awhile to chill by myself. Every time I go to my apartment I realize there’s nothing in this city for me other than my job as most my friends are in my hometown or elsewhere. I just sit in my apt alone and end up drinking and missing my family. Anyone else experience this? Should I just move back to my hometown despite...
Curious what other people's parental leave looks like for companies of a similar size and industry. We are about 150 employees in the CPG (beverage) space. We want to improve/expand our paid leave. How much paid time do you give your employees? Do you give the same amount for the primary and secondary caregiver? Please include your company size and industry.
