I rarely have been asked about my certs in interviews and I never ask about certs when I'm interviewing.

So GM doesn't hit their bottom line: why are junior practitioners taking the fall with layoffs when this was largely caused by Rachel Miller and GM leadership mismanaging the service line?

Tips for general corp trying to retool to tech trans?

I'm totally new to billables so I have no idea what is the "ideal" billable minimum. Is 2000 the standard for litigation? I recently interviewed several ID firms and they all say 2000 hour as minimum. Doing quick math, that seems a lot. Am I mistaken?

Also, someone told me billable hour is like art. Some people do well and some people don't. I'm trying to learn more about billing.

Hi all - I'm looking for help defining our rating scale in terms of our company values. We rate on a 5-point scale of Unsatisfactory to Exceptional Performance. We rate against four company values and five competencies. It was easy to define the rating scale against the competencies, but I'm having a really hard time defining them for the values. I've tried Googling and everything I find is geared more toward competencies. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I’ve been informed that instead of pay raises my employer will be issuing bonuses. The bonuses can be a lump payment, additional PTO or reimbursement of business expenses. What would you do?

So my tattoo artist basically scammed me out of some money. I put a deposit down and the day of the tattoo he had to cancel because his daughter got sick. He’s not replying to my texts. And it’s not like this guy is a stranger, I have 20+ hours of work done by him. I paid via Apple Pay. I don’t live in the same city as the artist and don’t know when I’ll be back to that city.
