So I've had 2 hiring managers and several recruiters from Amazon reach out to me about applying for some open positions with the company (android). I completed the coding assessment and now they want me to go through a round of 5 hour interviews next week. Is there a good chance I'll be hired if engineering managers are reaching out to me? I'm really not sure how badly I want to work for them and I don't want to be laid off months after being hired on. Anyone know what Amazon hiring is like?

I am so frustrated about the blatant disrespect, seeing kids get shoved, and watching students being frustrated at the group who is creating the havoc, and being ignored about needing more help in the hallway. I was telling them how we need the hallway to be more quite due to the fact that our functional classroom students are getting upset with the noise, and visitors are shocked because of their behavior The Dean and student services showed up and let me talk. The Dean finally spoke up and told them they would be different and behavior would be changing. FINALLY!!! She also told them that she would be making changes in the hallway.

At least for the rest of the day, we had extra help in the hallway. I feel so stupid for getting so upset, but if someone gets hurt because of all the foolishness, my teams is going to get blamed.
You shouldn't feel stupid. This is a failure on administration. There needs to be school wide expectations. They knew how to walk down hallways both inside and outside in the 5th grade. But it is a procedure that is modeled and practiced and reinforced with incentives. Elementary schools have signs posted outside and indoors about behavior expectations with visual cues.
They need to hold some grade level assemblies where the administration explains to them why safety depends on them being orderly and relatively quiet in the hallways. Students are in classes trying to learn. Also if there is an emergency situation they need to be able to hear instructions and react quickly.

I was out today because I felt so sick. One of the teachers sent me a message and told me that no admin was helping on the hall today, and one of the students who has been so bad about pushing other kids, pushed another student today. Of course, no admin in the hall to help! GRRRRR!
