How do you guys deal with burnout? This job was amazing when I started and the pay is good, but I feel like I’m being ground down a little more every day. I’ve been applying to AE jobs elsewhere but I’m competing with everyone who’s been laid off at this point I’m happy to get a rejection instead of being ghosted by the hiring manager. Any tips on getting out of this mindset? I feel trapped.
I just got fired from job as an Account executive at a company for not performing well enough after 3 months (Even though we are still in middle of pandemic in NYC).I want to get into SaaS sales soon. Dumb question but humor me, I’m not familiar with financial services - is working in advisory at the big 4 as coveted/prestigious out of college as working as a financial analyst at a big IB like Morgan Stanley? Peoples backgrounds and salary seem extremely similar.
thoughts on using who/whom as my gender pronouns? It has a side benefit of dodging responsibility😜 (ie: who's doing that work? exactly!)
Both my husband and I have been remote since April 2020. We’re both very independent and do things alone here and there but I feel like working from home for so long has caused a bit of co-dependency. Recently, I’ve gone into the office a few times and I’ve noticed that I have a lot of anxiety about everything when I’m in the office - from work, the commute, my husband, how he’s doing, what he’s doing, etc. Has any one else dealt with this?

Newbie here. Sounds like a lot of accountants at B4 firms are unhappy because they feel overworked and underpaid. I would LOVE to know how many hours they are working each year. If you’re in B4 would you please tell me how many hours you typically work in a year? I want to know if it’s drastically different from what I’m working at a regional firm. I love my team, schedule flexibility, pretty much everything except the notoriety of working for a big four and the extra $ that might come with it.
Couple financial questions: 1) what do you do with your 401k when you quit? 2) if you go to grad school and come back above the income limit for Roth IRA, do you leave it where it is to grow?
Does anyone here hold a non-CFA designation (CFP, CAIA, FRM etc.) and what kind of role/position do you have?

Amazon L5 BIE salary expectations: Hello guys, I am currently with a boutique consulting firm with $130k base and $150k TC with 5 YOE. I have a phone screen coming up with Amazon recruiter. I believe my base is on the higher levels of L5 BIE salary bands ( perceived from diff websites and posts). Would the recruiter entertain my profile, if I push for $150 base and overall 20-30% hike in TC. Appreciate your guidance on this.Amazon
VENT: I took a month off between jobs to finally get a break for the first time in 20 years. In that month I have had one single day off. All the other days have been doing house projects, managing our rentals, or taking care of sick kids. I even went on a vacation with my husband for a week where he had a depression breakdown so I was stuck taking care of his emotional well-being the entire time. I’m FRIGGIN EXHAUSTED. I’m so tired of taking care of everyone else. Rant over.
My future employer uses Fidelity for 401k and my current employer uses vangaurd. What are my options to consolidate 401k account. I prefer Vangaurd and wish I could stick to it. I also have Roth IRA account and brokerage account with Vangaurd too. What will happen to my Roth IRA as my adjusted gross income will be more than the limit set for Roth IRA. Can I still keep the account for 2021 or I need to close it ?
