Like you said, he’s not a designer. If all lowercase fits your brand and what you’re portraying, then there’s no reason not to use it.
I like it - lowercase makes it feel fun and approachable- especially with your color choice

I think it depends on the context of what kind of business. A more conservative business like finance or legal may want more traditional capitalization. But like any kind of work for a client - including your husband - it's about collaboration and making sure the client is happy, not, per se, about the Designer "winning"
Your husband should stay in his lane.
This is not an uncommon branding strategy to look approachable, friendly, and casual. It all depends on the brand and industry.
Offense to something like this seems a strong reaction, it's not like it's a missing oxford comma or comic sans 🤣

It's a great tactic to appear casual and approachable as many have mentioned here – not a thing wrong with it. Tell you husband to not quit his day job.
