Advised to leave EY based on belief I accepted too low comp. Excited for opp to join Big 4, I accepted $90K S3. I have 11YOE at agency Senior Director level advising global MARTECH delivery for Fortune 500 clients. (Not previous Big 4) Advice was jump ship to firm that will compensate my experience and then return at higher level if I choose to boomerang. I’ve never been a jumper but also don’t want to be a fool and waste 2-3 years working for promotion that I am already qualified. Advice?

Interviewing for a senior director level role in HR at a midsized (~2,000 people) tech company. Expected to grow 50% YOY for the next few years. What should I look for comp-wise?

Exiting to industry for a Corp Strategy Role. Company is deciding between Senior Director or VP levels for title, but pay won’t be too differentiated. Role is to run the company’s strategy group. Company is ~$1Bn revenue sized in tier 2 city. $200k base, 30% bonus and 20%-40% equity that takes 2 years to vest. Should I push for the higher title? How does this comp compare with what other similar roles are offering? Like the team so far and excited about the company’s growth trajectory.

I am weighing my options here
1. Option 1: Join the industry at a Senior Manager position in a mid sized med device company in it's 5th year under a PE firm (mention this as there is a potential that it may be sold). Spoke to the Senior Director and it's going to be a clean slate. Need to build things ground up. My base salary falls by 10k. Bonus component is very promising and everyone told me that the bonus payout has been great

2. Option 2: stay with PwC. Take the additional 10k cntd...

Great relationships/network/mentors. Got an offer from top10 bank at Senior Director IC Level $270k + 60k bonus + 45k stock. Technical Role and better WLB. Thoughts and advice would be appreciated. Question for my fellow consulting 🐠.. have a potential industry opportunity with a 20% salary increase. Allows me to be mostly local doing stuff I like with a boss I really love. Been with the firm for about a year and am doing decently well and actually enjoy my work and like my boss. That said, don’t covet the partner track but unsure whether the move within a year is a bad choice. What is the higher range of total comp cognizant would accept for SR Director - cloud consulting (non-sales) with their new structure. They initial offered me director but i declined a lateral move so they offered me senior director but asking me to quote my numbers for compensation (i have to quote them joining bonus, total comp (80-20 split) and RSUs). I’m pending an offer from Visa Inc for a Senior Director role and want to know some guardrails. The recruiter informed me in our very first call that Visa “doesn’t pay cash to bring people on” and alluded to not offering a sign on bonus or RSUs. This is very strange to be competitive in the tech world. Would love to hear input into pushing for both equity and sign on as part of the offer. Thanks!
