Why is Publicis the only hold co not really laying people off? OPG, WPP, Omnicom, Dentsu and MDC have been a bloodbath. What is Pub doing right (or wrong)?
Supposedly Dentsu lay-off is only 100 people not 6,000 according to a town hall meeting. Anyone else hear the same?

What types of roles would fit a Business Analyst 2 with 2 years (No MBA) of industry experience supporting Federal Contracts and strategy? Looking into applying to several positions on Deloittes website however I’m not sure if I’m over/under selling my experience.
So this might be a better place to post this and ask this question: Uncle D has announced explicitly that most people won’t get a pay raise & bonus this year except for those promoted and high performers. Amid this crisis, are companies including other big 3, MBB, FAANG, boutique consulting firms still giving high raises and issue stocks? Can you share the impact from your firm?
Ah! If the clients ever realize the number of billable hours wasted on making slides just ‘look’ pretty!!!!
How does Deloitte’s 401k & pension compare to a 4% 401k match that vests immediately? Comparing offers and trying to determine how much worse off I’ll be at Deloitte
Recently got an offer from EY for $106k base & $8k sign-on bonus. It’s for a senior 2 position in internal audit. Is this amount low? Should I re-negotiate? What are salaries like for senior 2?

See a young (24-29 yr old) woman with group of several older (40+ yr old) men, clearly work together in a consulting or business type role (based on convo topics and attire). Thoughts/Assumptions?
Was unsuccessful recruiting for top consulting firms during my MBA. I need that money! What is the best approach to landing an interview post MBA? Referral?
That NYC snowstorm is a blessing at now deserted client site. Faster internet, no lines at elevators & lunchrooms, 10x cleaner bathrooms, and no obnoxious political chats around us. Let it snow.
How hard is it to get a salary of 150K from 100K? I started around 60K in HCOL and found offers around 80-110K within in 1-3 of experience. How long would it take on average to achieve a jump from 100K to 150K? Anyone have first or second hand experience?
EY 🐠 - looking for advisory manager benchmarks. Lateral competitor hire, specialist experience, currently at $165k base,30% bonus, + $12,250 401k. Is $190-205k base for manager realistic at EY?
Any MBBs pushing back postMBA start dates? Just wondering if this is limited to boutique and Big 4 as of now...
Could anyone share how the pension at big4 works? Considering lateral move from tier 2 to MD at big4 advisory. Would be $100k bump from $650 to $750. Everyone keeps telling me that the pension is compelling, but it’s still not clear to me how it works.
Long post, but hear me out: There have been a lot of WFH-based debates this past week. The reasons for or against it have almost universally been focused on the consulting way of life, a shift in WLB, and efficiency. But as someone who left consulting a year ago for industry, I want to suggest that most people aren’t thinking thinking broadly enough. I want to posit that the pandemic is to consulting what Uber was to the taxi industry: a major disruptor that can’t be effectively rolled back.
Question on form I-693 (medical exam): should I include it right now along with my I-485 application or wait till I'm called for interview?
Are you allowed to share an offer letter from one company with another? I’m negotiating for a higher salary by leveraging another offer.

What's the best way to prepare a business case presentation? I've been invited to a final round interview for a medical device company as a process optimization consultant. They sent me a client case study. In the case there are pain points of the client, and some numbers to analyze their workflow and recommend them to use their medical devices for process improvement. I'm not sure how to stucture it. how would you approach it?
I’ll have another drink please. Make it a double. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/28/business/media/coronavirus-pandemic-advertising-industry.html
So, I’m currently interviewing for new job, and market is not bad, but I’m anxious and I am interviewing for every opportunity that comes my way (director/vp level, tech). Today, September 30 I received an invite for an initial interview for another opportunity. So I applied to this opportunity through networking on August 10 (!). It looks like a red flag for me and I’m thinking thankyounext, but again it’s covid time... Thoughts?

Hi Everyone! I’m torn between which HR certification to pursue (SHRM-SCP or SPHR). Which one would you recommend and why?
I put in 6% to my 401k to get the 100% match. I have $4k in a savings account as my Emergency Fund. I have another $4k i want to invest. I opened a Roth IRA with Charles Schwab, but didn’t put it in yet. I am confused on Roth IRA concept because I am taking taxed dollars and putting it into an account, but if they offer traditional IRA isn’t it already taxed? How does that work? Im fairly new to Personal Finance (24 Years old).
Is it worth intentionally taking a job with no growth/upward mobility but straight 40 hour weeks and pay raise to essentially take a break? I'm extremely burnt out from working 50-55+ hour weeks since March during wfh and am seriously considering this other job to get my life back for a year and then start looking for a high growth position if/when the uncertain job market settles down.

On my 3rd job in 2 years (consultant for a year, then left for a new company that was impacted by COVID). My new role is not very interesting and can be very pigeon holed at times. The pay and benefits are top notch, which are keeping me here. Is it too soon to jump again for something I’m more interested in or is it better to wait?
Trying to do a 1 week long vacation in the US end of June. Flying southwest with companion. Any must sees in the US? Default would be Napa and Cali. But thinking Seattle, maybe Colorado, Charleston?
