As recruiters, we know how unpredictable this industry can be. In four years, I’ve been laid off three times due to ‘business needs,’ each time starting over. That instability takes a toll.

I love what I do, but do I want to be disposable when business slows? I want stability. I want to thrive.

This weekend, I attended a conference as a modern affiliate for a health and wellness company. It reminded me—there’s more out there. ✨

Curious? Message me or comment below—I’d love to share more!

M&A associates: is it normal for first years to have only same-day tasks? I have not been given a task that wasn’t due either ASAP or by that night in weeks. If this is the norm, do you recommend any other (more predictable) transactional practice groups?

I’ve been at my company for 8 months. I just found out another designer who has been here for several years gets an annual bonus at the end of the fiscal year. I have never been told about a bonus and haven’t gotten one yet for the previous fiscal year that ended In July. Should I have been told I get a bonus when I signed on or are they typically a surprise?

Anyone work at Hulu that would feel comfortable referring me? Lmk! Thanks :)

In the beginning of my career I absconded 1 company who had 3 years bond and I worked there for 5 months. My pf account is created for that company and it has been closed with reason cessation (short service). After that I worked in 1 company for 6 years and since January I'm working in TCS. Should I mention my first company experience. So far I'm not mentioning it anywhere.

Additional Posts in Laid off in HR & Recruiting Support Group

I have been laid off going on 3 months now and I’ve never felt so discouraged in my life. This job hunt for me has been frustrating and draining. It really has taken a toll on my mental health and maybe even confidence. I feel like I’m losing momentum. Any advice on staying positive throughout this journey? It’s so hard to stay upbeat and motivated at times.
