What should be an expected range of compensation for a director of business development at a startup? I would be the right hands of the US lead, and the startup is generating revenue and is about to start their series c round. 4 YOE, with a Phd.

What are thoughts with regards to transitioning from a commercial banking portfolio manager at a Canadian big 5 to a strategy & transactions consultant at EY-P. Agency recruiters: do you participate in kick-off meetings with hiring managers?

My company thinks that’s not scalable for us to be in those calls. But I find it hard to speak enthusiastically about a job to candidates I interview when I never got to even hear the founders speaking about it themselves.

We have now agreed that I’ll get to see the recording of those calls. I’m not sure if that will suffice, though. Any thoughts on this?

The pay for the position I'm interviewing for is considerably on the higher side, which is great. Or should I be worried I will be asked to wear too many hats, work excessive hours ect..?

Curious as to what each of the firms here charge their consultants at to their clients, I’ve seen 150-190 recently at mid-sized firm I just left. How’s this compare to everyone else?

I am curious to know- statistically, not “from my POV at my company” anecdotal commentary- if govt/contractors have a hard time recruiting millennials for SCIF jobs, especially ones not near metro.
