Base is $82k and bonus was decent, but the more I think about it the more it feels like base is what actually matters. Bonus can disappear or change anytime. Do people actually push to shift comp toward base?

I never considered bonus as guaranteed. Every year is different and we never know what could happen. Base is what matters.

Base is the thing to focus on when looking for a new job. The bonus can be discretionary, but the salary is a tangible number. In some industries the bonus can be so spectacular that it takes on more importance, but that wouldn't be the case with us.

Agreed. Base is everything. Unless you have some unique contract, if the company has a bad year, you may get nothing at all. Never count your potential bonus into your financial plans.

Depends on the bonus structure. I switched companies recently and got both a sign-on bonus and guaranteed bonus %, with the ability to earn beyond that % based on performance. I agree a standard bonus is not enough of an incentive, but a well-structured bonus package can still be a plus depending on the terms.

Random, but valid/persistent thought.

After 2 years of a pandemic and working independently for many years, I am not feeling interviews AT ALL. There are points in the interview where I want to just say "Look! Either hire me or don't".

How can I get over this feeling? I'm over the whole "stand in the line of fire to prove how good I am" bs. Any recommendations for getting over this or possible industries to pivot into to avoid bs interview processes and ghosting?

I left wipro and joined new company a month before. In new company's form 11 ita asking whether you have been part of epf and eps in last organization?
Epf i am sure i need to give yes. But what do i need to give for Eps? I am aware that wipro contributed 8.33% of pf to eps. Can i transfer that too?
