Roth vs Traditional 401k, thoughts?

If I had a traditional IRA before being employed in a 401k eligible role, can / must I roll that IRA into the 401k or can I leave the accounts separate without deleterious tax consequences?

Hi all- new to fishbowl. Not really sure how to use and explore the app yet but I saw this bowl and figured I would introduce myself. I am a wholesaler for 401K and I am able to partner with advisors who currently uncover 401K opportunities or are looking to learn how to. I read this super interesting article about how big companies like Toyota are investing in social-emotional training for their employees and seeing massive benefits. I actually think this could be a whole separate class for students of all ages. Learning about conflict resolution, growing your own self-regulation skills...it's really important.

I have a new prospect. Small business owner that wants to start a 401k for himself and his employees. Who would be the top 2-3 organizations I contact, and what questions should I ask the providers?

I know it always depends, but what is a good target comp range in HCOL for someone who has 3 YOE in MBB/T2/B4 consulting out of undergrad?

Hello! I’m a clinical healthcare worker and am currently working on a master’s in finance to pivot to healthcare consulting.

I’m trying to get an internship next summer (I have the time off work) but am having difficulty finding internships for non-MBA master’s degree candidates. (I have a clinical MA and doctorate & it’s been an auto-reject from analyst internships.)

I’m currently working for a small technical consulting start-up firm. I make good money, have great benefits, and they seem very happy with the work I’m doing, so I know I could move up quickly. However, tech consulting is definitely not my dream job. I want to get into data analytics, and I have an offer from a big company to do just that.
