Currently a senior accountant at a small company doing the monthly close financial process. Got two offers, one as a senior cost accountant and one as a senior financial analyst. Both similar comp and at great companies that have 10,000 or more employees. I’ve been wanting to get experience in both cost accounting and financial analysis.
Senior accountant salary for a tech firm? What would be the range for someone based in CA state
Hey all- I feel like I have always seen conflicted suggestions on when to leave and what position to leave for. I am an S2 (manager promo would be next year) making 80k in MCOL in audit. I have an offer for a senior accountant position with equity grant at hire and 100k base, no annual bonus. I feel like the base increase is more than I thought I could get, but is that true? Do I need to look for a different position in industry, or do I need to stay until manager? Any thoughts much appreciated

I have a company where I applied to a Senior Accountant role (3-4 weeks ago). I didn't hear back at all. But they just dropped a staff accountant role. I like the company and what they are doing.
Would it be uncouth for me to apply for the staff position too? Or is that a no-no? I feel like the cover letter would write itself - I like you enough to take a title cut. It helps they included the salary, and the staff salary is lateral to my current role.
Can anyone please share the comp package of senior accountant/FA role at Amazon at Seattle for recent offers.

Anyone familiar with salary in orange county (SoCal) and LA/El Segundo area? Interviewed for a senior accountant role in a public health care industry in Irvine, but their maximum pay is 85K. I thought Irvine should have pretty good pay too but this surprises me. Even a private Healthcare company in El Segundo pays more than that for the same role but with even lesser experience and easier job duties...
Is this salary too low? I'm @ final interview for senior accountant and job posting said $60-65k. Before you say it's too low right away, my experience is on a low end of this of this role. Just 1 year auditer @ national top 10, 6 months intern at same firm, 1 year accounting intern at local private firm, and 2 years doing AP clerk. I'm a licensed CPA and in MCOL. I really want this title for growth but don't want to get stiffed. It's a large corp w/ great benefits.
Currently making $57.5 as a Tax Associate. (No raises this year).
Had a job interview for a Senior Accountant role at a PE firm and they asked for salary expectations... I said $65-$80. Did I set the bar too low?

Hey all. I really need some opinions on this position I was just offered in Plano TX. The position is for a senior accountant role with a base comp of $90K-$95K and 10% bonus. I’m not too familiar with the area but the role is remote for the next couple of months and I was wondering if that’s a decent salary for that area. Thank you in advance!
Just got my comp review scheduled for Nov 10th and should be receiving a promotion to senior accountant. What should a reasonable comp adjustment be and how should I negotiate a higher one if I don't think the one is reasonable?
When a recruiter ask for compensation expectation do you usually say the base or total? Also for those working in internal audit positions within an industry, is there usually bonus or is that mostly for senior accountant/financial reporting positions ?
Hi all, I am needing some help with a salary negotiation. I am trying to relocate to Pittsburgh area. I have 3.5 years of experiences now and getting offered between 80k-85k for base salary for a senior accountant or reporting analyst position. Does this sound about right? I get paid more right now (maybe becasue I am in Oil and Gad industry) but want to see what the market average look like in Pittsburgh.
Hello guys and gals, at some point I will have to negotiate the salary for my next promotion - to senior accountant. As most of us are in different parts of the world, I'd like to ask what % increase you'd expect in relation to your previous salary? Also any tips for negotiating? Thanks a million. 😁

Recently got offered a tech company senior accountant opportunity in the Bay Area. Total comp comes down to $135k base and $25k equity. Is it worth to make the jump, or should I wait until making manager? 4.5 years PA experience here.
Starting a job as a Senior Accountant next month. How long should I be looking to become manager? Salary increases? Just curious after a conversation I’ve had with a recruiter. I don’t know much about industry promotions.
What do you say when asked about compensation range during the phone screen / 1st interview? If it's an online app I leave it blank but when a person asks I just tell them a range because I don't know what else to say. I'm worried that I might miss out on a higher salary by telling them my range (85-90k for senior accountant in HCOL city).
What’s a fair senior accountant salary in large cap industry asking for 5 years of experience in a mid sized city?

Is there any real exit opportunities for an executive compensation/employee benefits junior associate? I see a handful of employment in-house counsel roles and some compensation in-house roles — but those either require 7+ years of experience or some sort of employment/litigation experience (which i never do). I had a five-year Big Law plan, but i don’t think I can make it that long!

I dont care about fame, attention any of that I just want a ton of money so I can make the life decisions I want to make. How do people stay motivated in mostly salary jobs? Hello I'm currently a Consultant in my second year at Accenture. Prior to that I had 10 years in industry. I had an initial conversation with TCS regarding an Industry Advisor position. Second interview scheduled for this week. I currently have a comp of 120, told them I'd be looking at 160 which was not an issue..
With that said can anybody shed some insight on what the move to TCS would be as Industry Advisor from the consultant with Accenture? Is that a level between M and SM at Accenture?

Could you share some advice/insights on pros and cons to moving headcount from a regional strategy role to a global capability network role within the same function.

Looking for my first luxury watch. Recently got a promotion to put my TC into the 300s and think it’s finally time to pull the trigger. I have 10+ watches in the 50-150$ range (G shocks, fossil) and my dream watch has always been either a Sub or GMT, but due to price and availability I am thinking of “settling” for an Omega Moonwatch. Any advice or thoughts for a newcomer would be appreciated!

Looking for negotiation advice.
Received an offer with 150k base and 25k bonus. Had a negotiation call where I requested a 10-15% base bump for merit/BATNA reasons. They were receptive.
Follow up call they provided a 13% base increase + an unexpected 41% bonus decrease.
Is this common practice? Any thoughts on countering this? Any specific language you would use?
I realize I never accounted for this scenario and that's on me! Hoping for advice on how best to move forward.
