No I don’t, but absolutely love that you posted this in the Dads bowl.
I would recommend a manual old hunk of junk. That way you can escape the Mrs and kid for extra time for cutting and also maintenance.
Get a shed. Store some whiskey and other stuff u like there and when they ask why you are going there tell them lawnmower related maintaince.
Then they will also be more grateful when you have it done and nag you less when it's not done.
Stick with gas on the mower, battery for the weed whacker, blower, trimmer etc. just remember you usually get zero spousal points for yard maintenance!
I have Ryobi lawn mower and I love it. It's very lightweight, does a good job and very quiet.
I have Ryobi blower and trimmer as well and all battery operated.
I'd highly recommend it.
I have the Ryobi electric mower and I love it. I did not get the self propelled one though.
Just Remember: if you mow the lawn and your spouse couldn’t hear you, did it really happen?
I have the EGO (the non-self propelled version) and absolutely love it. No problems whatsoever, it's quiet, clean, and a good cut. If I remember correctly the he EGO's battery is also slightly bigger than the Ryobi's and pushed me towards it with a bigger lawn - something to consider based on your lawn size. Don't want to have to recharge or drop $$ for another battery just to get a full now in.
What’s your lawn size that pushed you to the larger battery? I was considering this but since I bag grass I figured i would be stopping my anyway so I could switch out...
Food for thought. If you do other work around the house would be worth looking into a good 18v cordless system. Quite a few out there that have electric mowers plus dozens of other tools.
Don’t buy an 18v mower. Just accept that your mower will use a different battery than your other tools.
Ryobi does make a good 18v leaf blower and weed whacker.
I have an old 36v black&decker. Got it for $70 and spent another $100 for new blade and replacement battery guts (see YouTube for instructions). Look around, people sell them when the battery dies but the electric motors are still fine.
Still happy with my ego 3 years along, have bought into the whacker/blower ecosystem as well
