Honestly, your health and sanity are worth more than money. Life is short, we should be enjoying our lives and not feeling stressed all the time. If your well-being is better now, that's a win!
I totally get that. I'm still paying off a couple of credits that never led to a degree. But at the same time, I learned valuable lessons and I had a neat college experience. Sometimes the best thing you learn in college is that you don't really need it.
I sometimes think it was a waste to go to college as what I need to be good at my job is pretty much common sense and middle school math. So a lot of what I learned has been of zero benefit in the workplace.
Totally with you on this.

I felt this way in my 20s right after college. I still feel that some retail companies have this way of making you feel like getting a degree was a waste of time. Climbing the corporate ladder is cool but having a solid degree will help you succeed even more.
That's fair!
I’m a bit different - I got stuck in retail and am not using my degrees. So I feel burdened by wasted potential and the debt that to do this same job I didn’t need. I’m torn between “I should have realized I was never going to amount to anything” and “but I’m a better more knowledgeable person due to my schooling”.
This is exactly how I feel!

I totally get that. Sometimes stepping back from the “climb” actually feels like a relief, even if it’s not what you planned. Taking it one day at a time is honestly the healthiest way to go.
