Does your store rely more on technology or human interaction and hospitality? How has the integration of tech influenced how much you interact with customers or guests?

We strike a balance. While technology streamlines our operations and handles routine tasks, it’s designed to free up our team to focus on high-value human interaction and hospitality. Tech hasn't replaced our guests' experience; it has elevated it by allowing us more time for personalized, meaningful engagement.

Human interaction. This place is the definition of old school. Very little tech to speak of, aside from our ancient point of sale which goes down every week or two. I kind of like that that's the case, but a little innovation wouldn't hurt.

like

At the very least, the point of sale system should be tech they’re investing in updating

In my experience tech has helped with efficiency but it hasn’t really replaced interaction. If anything it changed the type of interaction. Customers use self checkout or apps for simple things but when something goes wrong they expect a real person immediately. So it almost feels like tech handles the easy moments and people handle the harder ones.

It sure seems that way, good point!

Our place uses some tech, but a lot still comes down to human interaction. The systems help with speed and organization, but customers still want real help when something goes wrong or they have questions. In the end, hospitality still matters more than the screen.

Hello Fishes,

I have got my L2 Dependent Visa stamped for the US through the Wife's organization and she has booked the tickets for the both of us in the next weekend. I am currently unallocated in TCS and seeking projects in the same US location as my Wife. Can I travel to the US just like that and then continue my search within TCS from there or do I need any approvals to even fly in the first place?

I am worried because of the time crunch and will be glad to hear some points on this.

I kind of feel that the HR I am talking with isn't that approachable. Is this kind of a norm. In VOIS. I am little hesitant to proceed with accepting the job offer from VOIS due to this.

Is this usually the norm in VOIS, where HR are quiet like this

Hey guys!

Does anyone know if your CV gets blocked in big 4s for a certain amount of time if you get rejected?

I had an HR discussion at PWC UK 3 months ago which fell through and now I'm noticing any time I apply for a role there my resume doesn't clear the shortlist. Surprising cos I meet all the requirements
