Hey everyone- I need advice on pivoting from an MCO to hospitals. I am a young healthcare professional with an MHA. Prior to graduating, I had a solid year experience interning as an administrative consultant in a hospital and I loved the environment. However when the pandemic hit, I ended up in managed care/insurance side. I would like to step into an administrator or practice manager but Im afraid my lack of direct healthcare setting experience I would have to take a low paying role. Any tips?

I feel a little lost in my career. I lost my job because of covid in March 2020 because the company wasn’t doing well. I managed to get some clients and worked as a consultant with them. For the past 2 years as an analyst/SA, I've grown my project experience and skillset in the T&O space, hoping for an alignment to this practice as a consultant. I recently got my alignment into a practice that I am unfamiliar with and do not have prior experience/skills (not my first choice of T&O). Although I understand the benefits of learning new skills, this does not align with my career goals and desired trajectory. How should I approach this - staying, transferring, or shopping around?

Feeling de-motivated as a consultant in healthcare. Doesn’t feel like a lot of the work I do actually helps patients or make anyone’s life better, which was the whole draw when I started 5+ years ago. I also sometimes feel stifled bc healthcare doesn’t have the $ and growth opps that I see my peers that work in other industries. Anyone ever feel this way?

First time consultant with tracking and trading obligations. I’m required to move my prior employers 401ks to Vanguard (Deloitte administrator for 401k) or an IRA.

Currently working in rwe consulting at a healthcare firm. What’s the chances of moving into a more general strategy consulting role at tier 1/2 firm, would I have to join at an entry level or would a senior associate / junior consultant role be plausible?

Okaaaay 🐠 need some opinions on this. I turned down B4 to come to Google (at a smaller salary admittedly). The partner from the B4 reached out to me with a pretty significant offer, I know him personally as we worked together at my old company which has its benefits.. Offered M1, $160k base, $10k sign on, and 20% bonus. Currently at $115k base, 30k/yr in RSU and 15% bonus. I’m a PgM at Google and still a consultant by definition, figure I’ll be in consulting for the long run. Thoughts on this?

Pros: good WLB, 401k 6% matching, 15% ESPP, good colleagues

New offer:
Base:120k /Tech Strategy and analytics senior consultant /No sign on bonus
Pros: more base salary/strategy role
Cons: more likely less WLB/more stress/ no 401k matching right away and no ESPP

Hello fishes, I currently work for one of Deloitte's Asian member firms and recently received an offer to move to their London office.

Supply Chain offering, Senior Consultant level. 65k base + 5k benefits. I have 3.5 years of experience in the same offering with Deloitte. Can I push for 70k base?

What should I expect for a Consultant salary at Accenture in their healthcare tech practice with 4.5 YOE (3 of those years was at big 4)

A recruiter from McK reached out to me for their healthcare consultant - implementation role. As an analyst (I worked in healthcare 1.5 years prior to moving to consulting) I feel a little confused going up for a consultant level role. Am I missing something or is McK implementation a different trajectory?

~ 2 YOE, want to be a career consultant to become a Partner, which firm offers the best pathway (i.e. growth, both personal and firm), benefits in the long-term and exit around EM level (to MBB). No particular interest in one sector yet.

I have a job offer from WNS global service as Assistant Manager with 14LPA fixed + variable pay. But all i want was a stable work life, job security, Learning Opportunity, Benefits,better hike.Right now i work in EY as a consultant (4.5+y)where only think lacking is better learning with ongoing job Opportunity + not so possible good hike in coming future (but i still can get time to atleast only learn) which prompt me to leave the company. Am i taking a better decision of moving out or should i stay in EY?

Genuinely looking for insights. Home grown consultant (SM3) and don’t see myself doing this forever. While a ton of exit opportunities exist, H1-B transfer seems to the biggest road block (approved I-140; not looking for other consulting options; open to FAANG and healthcare industry roles) Solid Openings / roles that are appropriate for my experience have stayed away from even taking the next step given the immigration situation. How have folks dealt with this? Any tips or advise?

Is healthcare consulting a big niche for the MBBs in Canada? What are the pros and cons (outside of compensation) of going with MBB over big 4 if a person is interested in being a healthcare consultant not a generalist.
