Finding employment in 2025 is quite difficult. From AI filtering resumes to endless jobboards, its a convoluted mess. I'm old. I miss the days where you could look an employer in the eye and sell YOURSELF. Now its just the usual AI generated crap filled resumes full of lies clogging up the few avenues of advancement.

You're absolutely right, it's exhausting and I'm tired of it :) It's like, everyone except the applicants can use AI and filter you with AI but then they'll screen you out if YOU use AI, lol. Make it make sense!

Absolutely right! And business loose time in trying to find the right person. Most of the time you read resume which is not true . The expectations are hight , such as these are shown, but the reality is not the same. People must be multifaceted , can’t be so straight professional . Changes in technology are reshaping the labour market.

Preach. Job hunting now feels like performing for a robot audience. Half the system’s AI-filtered nonsense, the other half’s ghost-town HR inboxes. Bring back human hiring.

You should commit to a focus on personal networking. It still works and has never changed. A current employee telling their employer to speak to you will get you an interview every time.

Whelp, you’re not wrong! I hate how the hiring process has changed. If you don’t know how to please the ai tools, you never get a chance to sell yourself in an interview.

Q’s for hiring partners and recruiters - you know that most associates quit their managing attorneys and not the firm/case. I’m in that boat. What do I say to a prospective employer about the situation of why I want to jump ship?

Very brief background - I’m a senior associate who has been on one complex commercial litigation case for over a year. Over time, the relationships between attorneys on the case have deteriorated to the point that it is affecting my productivity/work. I want out.
