Got a job offer back in October started in early November. One of the other companies I was interviewing with wanted to move forward but needed to put a pause on offers while the restructure their Go To Market motion. They came back yesterday and offered me 54k higher base than where I'm at now. Not sure what to do because I feel bad that the company I started with went though some hoops to get me in. Thoughts?

That is a lot of money to turn down. At the end of the day, you have to do what is best for you. If it were me, I would take it.

True... If this company had a restructure now... Would they think twice about how long ago they hired you? No... The rule where I have worked has been last in first out..

It happens all the time, do what's best for you. As soon as you have a concrete start date at the new company, let your current employer know that you got a better offer/fit, and offer to stay 2 weeks to allow them to find a replacement. You are most likely burning that bridge in any case, so don't get too hung up on the notice period.

It's not much different than the employee that finds another job after years working somewhere. Investments have been made, and it creats the need to hire a replacement just the same. They would fire you with a days notice if the business ess need arose.

Get it in writing of course

I have been in this position and it is uncomfortable. I remind myself that companies make business decisions, not emotional ones. I would weigh long term growth, stability, and learning, not just the salary jump.

Very good point. I just created a side by side pro's and cons list.

I’ve been running into weird happenings at my new firm learn of everything “I misunderstood” about my package. I don’t actually qualify for quarterly bonuses at a pro-rated billing rate; no 401ks till year 2; and the biggest—we don’t qualify for a raise unless we are here during the entire fiscal year. We have a 2100 billable req which I’m barely hitting. We also get paid below 6 figures. I learned that the new associates came is at least $10k over us. I graduated 2020–but 1st firm job. Advice?

Hi guys, I am on bench for last 5 months joined as a fresher. If i switch now and give my experience letter to new employer and in interview i tell them about the project which I did on my own and don't inform them about my bench time. Will this impact my future ? Accenture Capgemini

I've noticed that my coworkers tend to work more on their own than with others, even when they're all in the office. Is this normal? I feel like it would be helpful for everyone to talk about their projects more often—I mean, what if someone else has solved the same problem you're trying to solve already?
