Chances to get upgrade to Polaris with PlusPoint for SFO - SIN? I have lost my status but my husband is able to use his plus point for my trip. He is NOT flying with me. Currently being waitlisted. A few more days til departure. Any tips? Or I should pay cash to buy at $$$$$ to upgrade immediately?

Anyone have insight on when rental car agencies close at SFO? Have an upcoming arrival at 11pm local time and seeing that some of rental agencies say they close at 11pm. I’m concerned I might be stranded even if I have a reservation. Will they wait for late arrivals?

2. Any tips/tricks on driving such long distances?

How are TSA lines at SFO these days? I remember they were awful in 2015 when I used to frequent. Trying to plan enough time today.

Headed to Dreamforce - sitting in the plane… economy plus in Delta. The dude next to me is digging his booggers for the last half hour and using that filthy hand to touch stuff… ewww. He’s reading about PIO and raspberry pi etc. Not sure if his parents taught him a thing or two. Are techies in sfo this gross? I know techies are nerds but respected them for hygiene. I recently interviewed for AC position in Lilly India and got an offer of 21L CTC (fixed~18). I had 2 questions which I need help with:
1. Is it at par with what the ACs at Lilly get/what the other candidates have been offered?
2. I have heard that there has been a lot of attrition in their SFO team of late due to montonous work, lack of growth and decreasing variable payouts and hikes? Not sure if it's true, but their entire SFO leadership has switched to other firms within 2-3months

I’m a science PhD student at a target school. Have an offer from MBB to start in 1-2 years as a generalist consultant. Absolutely no business/consulting experience. I chose an office close to the mountains for a change in location/life. Now I’m learning that some offices are lot more “prestigious” than others. Was it a bad career move to not pick NYC/SFO/BOS? Or is quality of problems more or less uniform nationally?
