We're having a quiet dinner at home. It's always a terrible night to go out, restaurants are overcrowded and loud. Where's the romance in that? But I suspect there will be some candy and perhaps some flowers. I guess we're on the low-key range of celebrating, I think a lot of the holiday is overdone, but it's still nice to mark it.

I completely agree that Valentine’s Day feels overdone, at least for some people. When I checked restaurants a month before Valentine’s Day, every place on our list was already fully booked for the night… I honestly couldn’t believe it!
Just another day in the single life. I'm planning on going to a workout class tonight and then crashing early, this week wiped me out. Do you have any fun plans?

That sounds like a great plan! When I was single, I used Valentine’s Day as an excuse to indulge in some cake (thanks to my sweet tooth). This year, we kept it low-key. He brought flowers (after a reminder) and cooked a homemade dinner, which was really nice.
Going out to dinner with my husband to a new spot we're excited to try! My husband actually did order me flowers, he reached out to our friend who is a florist and she dropped off a bouquet today. It was so sweet.

That sounds like a lovely evening! I loved the fact that he went to a florist for the flowers (it shows such thoughtfulness), as most guys might simply pick up a bouquet from a grocery store.
