Has anyone ever flown with Alaska Airlines out of ORD? Booking a trip to Seattle and they seem like my best option 🥴

United Status Pros, question for you. I’m newish to United being my primary carrier (previously it was southwest and Alaska airlines). My team travels every few months across country and I’ve hit my PQF easily but seem to really struggle to make any headway in my PQP, I think they’re calculating at the mileage divided by 5. Any tips to maximize those points?

Had to cancel a flight with Alaska Airlines and they gave me a credit. Problem is company will only reimburse me for a refunded flight and the credit expires before I’ll be able to use it. Anyone have any luck/tricks to getting a refund from Alaska?

OneWorld Ruby without any American or Alaska status?? I have Platinum on United, Gold on Delta, just a member on American, and joined Alaska’s today for a flight on Alaska this afternoon. When I went to check in I noticed I have OneWorld Ruby which is allowing me 2 free checked bags which I was not expecting. Any idea how I could have gotten OneWorld Ruby without American status? It’s dumbfounding me. My daughter on my reservation doesn’t have free checked bags, just myself.

Declined for Delta Amex Gold because Experian report flagged me as ‘too many new cards’. I have only opened 1 (maybe 2 if you count Feb 2021 edge case) card in the last 12 months, and when I pulled my Experian report myself, there was no reference to having too many new cards or anything like the sort.

Going to call Experian Monday to see what’s going on. In the meantime, is it pointless to apply for the Alaska Airlines card until I speak with Experian?

Is Alaska Airlines a good airline for points accumulation? I’ve been using American Airlines for the past few years but feel like the fare is so expensive and takes so long to accumulate bonus points.

Booking a trip to ATL in a few months. I have Alaska Air MVP Gold. They are phasing in their oneworld membership throughout 2021, but it’s not clear to me what benefit, if any, I’d get from booking an AA flight via AS’s website (ie “marketed as an Alaska flight, but operating as AA”). I think these would count as partner miles, not Alaska miles, even though it’s purchasedart AS. This would be my only non-Alaska flight so partner miles are less useful than Alaska miles. Am I missing something?
