Join any dam company in world but dont join lala company HCL. Worked there for 20 days only last yr and 1year later i got my relieving letter after multiple tortures of legal notices for not serving notice period even though when they themselves released me.. from 160k to 0 that i paid them. I could easily sue them for harrasment but i didn't wanted to get involved in useless sh** and waste my time and energy .. BEWARE OF HCL

What's the market these days for someone with not-great technical skills, 12 YOE, TS clearance, hard-to-find/unique skillset, elite masters, middle management in DoD contracting, experience with critical/high profile roles?

I'm thinking 120-135k would be bad/mediocre, 180-195k would be possible/a stretch, and 160-170k would be doable/realistic. Thoughts? Not interested in Deloitte.

I got a call from KPMG HR for the role of Associate consultant in research team, When she asked me about the expected ctc, I think I quoted less than the market standards but since I am underpaid currently so the amount I quoted was 40-45% hike on my fixed. I have experience of 2.9years
Can anybody please suggest if I clear their interviews will they consider increasing CTC from whatever I quoted becase upon searching for ACon roles they pay much higher than what I quoted.

Hello Everyone, What is it like to work as an "IT Research Specialist" at Ford Motor Company?

I have significant equity in a property (300k+) and maybe another 200k across other properties. I have a decent amount of money in cash and already 200k or so in stocks. Would you consider pulling money through cash out refi and using it? I get nervous for stocks being so high. I have a few properties in pipeline already. How would you suggest using it (if at all).

So i have been fortunate that i have managed to go through my career without the need for a degree. I was lucky enough to have been hired by one of the worlds top consulting firms, worked with a whole lot of big clients and travelled a lot. It's gotten to the point where I am not even asked about the lack of a degree on my resume. Personally though, it bothers me. Currently a paralegal at a small start up financial services company been there for just a little over a year. I wear “multiple hats” but more recently I’ve done a lot of PM work and some BA work. Have you been fired before even starting your new job?

I signed for a new job two months ago and will start next month (3 mo notice period in Europe). They were very keen on getting me on-board ASAP before signing but since I signed the contract it has been silent from the new employee. I've emailed them with questions as I'll be re-locating to NL and it takes them 1-2 weeks to reply. Given all that's going on in the world, I'm worried they might fire me before I even start.

Promotion to senior after 1 yr is pure BS. Why do firms do this? One year is not enough to expose one to enough variety and develop expertise to review and teach others. Encouraging mediocrity?!

Has anyone left big 4 or other PA firms tax transaction service groups for industry (or know of anyone)? What was the role and salary bump, how are annual bonuses/raises in industry, what is a typical work week (hours) like? I don’t think I can take this always on just to stay afloat life much longer. For context I am considered a high performer, am near the top of the salary band at my level and have a great supporting network at Deloitte. It’s just not worth it to have zero personal life.
