I joined KGS in feb 2022, we recently got a mail regarding timeline of appraisal and bonus payout from the partner. My reporting manager hasn't yet reached out to me regarding goal setting, not sure if that happens here. Can you pls help me to know what all things we need to do from our end for the appraisal cycle and bonus payout? Since I'm new to this company KPMG KPMG India

100% no. There’s no reason they need to know. I lateraled at 6 months pregnant and actually never told the recruiter. I only told the partners after receiving the offer.
Thank you, I appreciate it! Congrats on your pregnancy and good luck. Trust your instincts and make whatever career decision feels right! I’m so glad I did!
Agree with the above. Hard no on disclosing. Only disclose after getting an offer
Thirding the advice to keep quiet. It’s not relevant to your candidacy so in case you were feeling guilty or anything, don’t. I also interviewed at around 6 months pregnant and only disclosed after receiving the offer. It was totally fine.
If you're working with an external recruiter (as opposed to an employee of the firm) use them to ask HR semi anonymous questions about the parental leave policy to help you screen for places that require you to be there a certain amount of time before qualifying for full, paid parental leave. Recruiters bring more than one candidate so they may already know the answer from past searches, and it's a fair question from women of a certain age even if you weren't already pregnant.
If you're a good match for the role (practice area, YOE) the recruiter won't care bc they want you to say yes as much as they want the firm to say yes. But obviously ymmv and do a vibe check before revealing your medical info.
