Hello, I am a consulting analyst who would like to become an investment banking analyst. I have seen a lot of positions requiring candidates with 1-3 years experiences in IB. I have the skills to do the job requirements but have not got the opportunity to get an interview. Anyone who has been in the industry would like to share some tips or share the type of skills that will stand out when getting screened by HR for the first interview, please let me know. I just need 10 minutes of your time.
Hey everyone need your opinion/help please. I am a Consulting Analyst at Accenture and I am constantly looking for projects in Supply Chain and Operations which is very difficult to find at Accenture. To all my Canadian 🐠 in Consulting, I need your help please :) I am a management consulting analyst at Accenture, it’s been 1.5 years and I have an interview at KPMG coming up. When I spoke to the recruiter, she said she would consider me for a Consultant role (which is the same level as my current level at Accenture, at KPMG they start at consultant, at Accenture we start as analyst). Is it fair to ask to be considered for a senior consultant role at KPMG? details to follow

I have completed B.Com from one of the leading business schools in Canada back in 2017 and currently work as multi unit store manager.
Looking for analyst/1st year associate level roles. Worked as a consulting analyst and was a high performer but had role affected by COVID at around 9 months in (still on good terms with old managers, eligible for rehire etc). Thinking of applying to entry level roles but it seems there aren’t many- is this just because of the holidays? I’ve applied to a couple but haven’t seen much traction, and I have good experience 😔

I left auditing for an accounting manager role. My company is in the medical device space and, in working on monthly close tasks, I notice that some sales people do very well. I know sales is more commission heavy, but part of me still thinks about the “what if” I was able to switch. In getting to know some salespeople, they seem to come from all types of backgrounds, from business to public health. I have limited knowledge in the medical space, but I’m willing to learn. Any advice? Drop it?
Am I the only one on here who likes their job? Yeah busy season blows but after 6 months of searching I can't find a job that provides the salary raises and benefits to compare.

Considering an MD position at Accenture and need to give comp expectation, its on Strategy side. Of course its based on my own need and desire, but like to hear from (ex)MDs at Accenture if 400k sounds like a reasonable ask for base. And can anyone help me understand the difference between L4 and L3? For reference, I am a Senior Principal with almost 2 years executive industry experience post consulting. Thanks for any insights!

For those recently laid off, what are you doing for healthcare coverage now? Just got my COBRA offer/extension letter and was floored to see the cost. So far I’ve only looked at covered California at the suggestion of a friend but at a glance the plans don’t seem substantially better - the monthly savings in premium on those plans is essentially offset by the increased deductible. Do I just suck it up and keep what I had through COBRA and pray I get a job soon? Any suggestions on ways to save?
