Heartbroken. Found the house of our dreams and we got outbid/moved 12 hours too slow. Seller went another direction. Why does this feel like a real life breakup?

Was it Manhasset, you can always go back to seller to up your bid or change terms to make more appealing - like no mortgage contingency waived or waiving inspection or offering to pay property taxes until offer is accepted

like

If you did all that (risking hidden damage via skipped inspection, etc) and you still got outbid, the house wasn't worth it.

A dream house isn't worth spending all your time and money for 30 years hunting after damage

I feel that. I lost a great house in garden city for 7k (we didn’t know at the time ofc). but ended up with another house that’s pretty good

At least you can buy another house, maybe a better one will show up and you'll be happy you didn't get that house. I wish I was still living on LI,. After taking care of my Mother for close to 6 years she died and in her will she said I could stay in the house for 2 years then it had to be sold and the money from the sale would be split 4 ways between my siblings and me. My Mother wrote that will long b4 she knew I'd be the sole caregiver. One of my sisters invited me to live in the New England state with her and her husband...my plan was to win the lottery and buy my house back. Well here I still am 7 years later, I have NEVER stopped missing LI, I love LI. The state I live in us very lovely, the people are so nice, but it's not my home, LI is, I miss everything about LI. You're so blessed you live there and that you'll find a house to own soon enough. I still play the lottery hoping, I've met so many kind peopoe who know how badly I want to go home and they tell me they truly hope I will get back home. And im not too crazy since years ago my brothers brother in law won 7 million dollars on the lottery, so I thought if he coukd so could I. Good luck finding your house and enjoy the blessing of living on LI!

Idk. This was the perfect house in 98% of things wanted. Can’t help but feel like I fucked up

The real estate market in the north shore of Nassau is still crazy. I am in Syosset, it’s still hit here too.

Try to shake it off and move on, there will be other houses. Next time, just try to move quicker. Nothing you can do when the market is like this and people flushed with cash.

At least you have a partner. Count your blessings. Some of us are alone.

High school special class (self-contained) teachers: What do you use for planning? I’ve always been an inclusive teacher, so I followed the plan book of my co-teacher. I can’t even decide if I should go digital or paper-based let alone make a final decision! I’ll be teaching 9-11th grade math and 11th grade science. The 11th grade classes I can very much do whatever I (or the student) want/need…there isn’t a set curriculum

I have been searching for job from quite a long time and all I have seeing HR/Panels asking for
1. Number of implementation projects done.
2. Work experience on S4 Hana.

And if I don't have atleast any one of these, I will not be considered.

Is it really that important ?

Being joined as a fresher - Is it really something that I can decide whether to be in support or implementation project ?

Is upgrading of ECC to S4 Hana in my hands ? And the difference is really that vast ?
