Oh that’s a fun move! There are many warm
States in better cost of living markets (California is kinda up there) and away from major weather happenings. Texas, North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona are also other markets to consider!

I would also take a peak on the political landscape of those areas as they matter significantly and may help you choose a state that better suits your own political beliefs. Wishing you tons of success on your search!
