Hi everyone,
I’m sprucing up my resume at the moment and I’m wondering if my jobs need to be in reverse chronological order. My jobs that I had in college don’t really look right sitting above my more recent jobs (which are more related to my career path). What’s the norm?

Recent jobs up top. And above that, a concise summary of a sentence or two can be effective. Remember, someone seeing your resume is going to skim it quickly at first. So it's incredibly important to be able to capture their attention immediately. Put critical info, like the names of employers, in boldface, so they pop out. To test how it looks, print out your resume and glance at it for three to five seconds and see what you get out of it.

When you find a Job load the job description and your resume into ChatGPT and ask it to run an Applicant tracking system against your resume and job description. Then ask if you are a top 10 candidate if not, ask it how to help you out.

I got offer from IBM in my home location itself, with 18.5LPA fixed for 9 yea in automation testing. Hi,

Just started a new job less than a month ago in the tech sector. It was the industry I was fixated on when leaving for. However I realise that I don't think I can cope with the fast paced, lack of wlb, with no support - it's really impacting my mental health already....

I try to hide it from my boyfriend, but its impact is flowing into my personal life.
I feel like a failure, but recognise it might be beneficial to cut loss and quit. Has anyone been in this situation?

Looking for advice. Based in the Bay Area and have 3.5 yr exp in IT Audit mostly SOX with a little SOC exp (ex big 4, couple of regionals) and have been applying to industry (mostly tech companies) since May. made it to final interviews only to find out hiring freezes were in effect or they went with a LCOL candidate.Would like to exit to a GRC role or a mixed role thats 50% sox, 50% varied projects, or a SOX role if the team culture is good. No luck getting in non sox work at current firm.
