Small town teachers....how do you get past the insulation? I can’t talk to anyone in my district about issues I’m having with admin because it’s a small town & they cover each other and gaslight you. The school district only cares about their PR and has vague policies that keep us from saying against them, yet we can’t say anything TO them either. My union rep is trying to help but she also said that it’s all too common for small towns. They always win & you just have to suck it up or get fired.

Any post-MBAs from Deloitte recently laid off that were expecting GSAP tuition reimbursement? If so, did you receive any?

hey all, i’m 3 years into my career. some decent work produced, some awards (mostly student). after getting laid off last fall and many many applications and emails sent, I’ve decided to spend time and money on a creative PR stunt to get my dream agencies’ attention. I’ve decided I don’t want to settle any longer, and I’m ready to make the jump to the elite. so people that have made it to their dream agencies: when did it happen for you, what made it happen, and was it everything you hoped for?

Heard through the grapevine. Bunch of analysts got fired for getting too drunk at DU and passed out in the bushes. Can anyone confirm or deny?

Can someone explain the difference between being counseled out and being fired? With an emphasis on why counsel someone out but not fire them, and vice versa.

Aight fam. Spent last year on the PIP, almost got fired mid year, but worked on firm initiatives like a machine through the year, and killed it on client projects. Finally out of the PIP. Fuck yeah!!!

Met a Wharton guy yesterday, he said I should change jobs at least once before applying since most of his classmates did more than 1 job. He recommended going to a startup for at least 1 year.
