Best ways to move from strategy consulting for banks into private baking? Take my IAD? Or am I better off taking CFA?

Has anyone taken the train from DC to NYC? It looks like the door-to-door time would be way less than getting a cab out to IAD and then a cab from whatever airport to Manhattan. But is there a downside that I don’t know about?

If I have a connecting flight from domestic to international, how soon do I need to arrive for the first flight? Are their customs process I have to go through when boarding? Never traveled international before…

First domestic flight:
IAD -> DFW
Second international flight:
DFW -> ICN

What’s the best Amex/priority pass lounge at IAD? I have a 5pm flight on Friday. Need to take a meeting from 1-4, so was planning to get there before and do it there.

Just finished successfully passed my second IAD (investment advice diploma) exam expect to have the third within 2 weeks, have three years relationship management experience at associate level and 2 at analyst level and have multiple degrees (been really fortunate) I want to head into the wealth manager position/junior banker. Can anyone advise the best way to position myself? Would prefer internally from a training point of view but open to external.

FYI, if you’re flying to Hawaii on United in June, they cancelled all their east coast flights to Hawaii from EWR and IAD. UA never told me about this, I found out on a travel blog.

How is Frontier to fly? I generally stick with American or United, but some friends I’m planning a ski trip with are lobbying for Frontier because it has nonstop from DCA to DEN (admittedly more convenient than IAD for anyone that lives inside the beltway in DC area, but there are many more United nonstop options out of IAD in case there’s a delay or cancellation). Can someone confirm: flying United Economy (K) from LAX-IAD-LHR, the LAX-IAD route is 20 PlusPoints to upgrade to biz, IAD-LHR routes are 80 plus points.
