I have an interview with the CTO of a growing startup on Monday. It’s for a technical product owner position. I’ve already interviewed with their lead product designer and technical PM so far which included a case study round as well. This round with the CTO will be my last round. What kind of questions should I expect? Specific inputs and general motivation will definitely help since I’ve been doubting my capabilities a lot recently.
I am looking for UX UI Designer role job.

Anyone have any experience interviewing for a Product Designer role at KOHO, the Canadian fintech company?
I just interviewed with Amazon for the Sr. PM position. I had four back to back interviews. Two of which were also PMs. However, who was the bar raiser in this case if the third was a UI Designer and the fourth was a Software Engineer? 🤔
I'm currently looking to hire a Freelance Sr. UXer to start immediately on a client project. But also hiring full-time roles to join our team!

So I just joined a team as a product designer under the pretence I would be acting as a UX designer.
In talks with product managers, they express that their role encompasses being advocates for the user. Which is great, but they also stated their role is to conduct interviews, determine and solve problems, and provide rough wireframes of their proposed solution.
They say they'll involve me in the process but I am worried I'll be boxed into being just a UI designer.
Has anyone dealt with this?

Hello! I'm currently a product designer at a startup and we're currently hiring for a Lead Product Designer. I've been helping my director write up an interview format and was wondering if there was anything different about lead designer interviews? When I was going through the interview process at my company I had the following steps: phone screen, hiring manager screen, onsite (portfolio review, design collab, stakeholder collab, eng collab). Any additional info will be much appreciated!
Anyone have experience with interviewing for a designer role at Apple? What are the main things they look for?
Nearing the end of the interview process for a mid level Product Designer role but experience wise I’d be considered more junior. What do I ask for in terms salary? (Sorry if it’s a stupid question)
I’ve gone through whiteboarding and a design challenge so skill wise I think I’ve proven to them I am capable.
They gave me a range for the role so would I just go with that? It’s higher than average in the market and one I’d be happy with but I feel weird since I’m not actually mid level.
My company is looking for a graphic designer. Position will be in Connecticut but possible to work remotely. This is not publicly listed yet.

I currently have 3 years experience and am being poached for a Senior Designer role. If I pursue this will it make it harder for my to get an Art Director role later on? Any advice would be great!
How do you interpret “Years of experience“ in salary surveys and reports?
Here’s an example. Does a Creative Director with 7+ yrs of experience have 7+ yrs in the role of a Creative Director? Or does that 7 yrs include their work as a Senior Designer?
Anybody know anything about doing UX design with MediaMath? My friend said they extended her an offer for a UX designer but that all communication has been done through email. and the position is hourly at first and some benefits dont seem to come in until after 3 months?
Is that a red flag? Any advice out there on how to proceed?
Underpaid? I’m currently working as a brand designer in-house but am more of an art director / senior designer role doing majority of the conceptualizing, photoshoot direction and content planning / creation for all emails, product launches and web design. 65k. Are there similar design salaries out there? What should i request when i’m promoted to Senior BD? Should i look somewhere else?
I have an offer from One great company that I need to reply to by end of the week and Google had reached out to me after two months of radio silence wanting to move me forward to the last interview round. The offer I got was for a product design position while google wants to potentially hire me as a visual designer… what do I do??? I’m so stressed. I don’t know if I should just accept the offer and then jump ship if Google decides to hire me.
Most of junior UX designer role asked for 2-3yoe. So, I volunteered at a startup to at least show that I’m working on something.. the entire process has been quite slow due to the stakeholder has been so busy fundraising and ceo said they are hiring developer (for the past 2months...). And just yesterday they announced the company is going on hold. I’m lost how I should present it on my resume / what to do with mid-fi fidelity prototypes that hasn’t been user tested.. Any suggestions?
My client is looking for a UX Lead/Designer with 5+ years experience. Great team. Fully remote position. Working for a startup on an early education game. Please DM for more info.

What’s the vibe at McCann Health NY? A post a few days ago said some C suite layoffs happened. Is that good or bad? Looking at a position there (not creative).
Hi all, I’m negotiating my offer for a senior SE role. I see online that average TC is around 170k TC (70/30 structure). Is it reasonable to negotiate higher? Or is the pay structure pretty rigid per level? Also, any chance you think I could negotiate for RSUs? I am in Atlanta if that helps.
Is Workday hiring. I have total 18 years exp . Past exp Oracle EBS+ ERP Cloud and last 1 year in Workday Finance. In Dallas manager or Senior manager level how much they pay and how much RSU they give.

I’ve seen a lot of tips for getting IC roles at FAANG, but what’s the best way to get noticed for leadership (eg., people manager) roles at top tech companies? Is it better to have leadership roles at successful but maybe lesser known brands or go back to a more junior role at big tech and hope you can work your way [back] up — wondering if going back and forth impacts your “career narrative” negatively?
Hello, I'm 21, UK based, and looking to start FIRE. I am a Deloitte apprentice, meaning I started as an analyst at 18 after leaving school.
Currently my living costs = income (£25k). I'm hoping to be promoted to Consultant next September, giving me a £13k pre-tax pay rise. I have a £1k emergency fund, that's it.
My numbers are tiny compared to others here, but how would you start from my position?
Walking out in a few days. 2 quick points that make me take up non consulting role. First - Big project team and I am a late entrant to the team so chances of promo to M next year doesn’t seem possible. Second - 20% hike without moving out of town. Go ?
my manager is giving me an opportunity to help hire junior team members. I've very little experience in hiring so I'm starting with informal (virtual) coffee chats. What are some key things to ask/ watch out for to see if someone would be a good data analyst?
I’ve been looking at SF positions for director and senior director of program mgt. I’d be interested in knowing avg TC and what the WLB is like, and would really like to chat with someone in that role now, or someone who could refer me.
For those who did/are doing g program management/ business analysis in the consulting firms, what are the exit opportunities and what firms are currently hiring? Hello Fellow fishes,
I am looking for a new role as SAP EWM consultant. J have experience in 2 E2E implementation and 1 MFS.
Please let me know if any relevant opportunities.
Need help navigating: I joined team in tech role for a new initiative, and I’m also trying to make a role change. Manager announced their departure, and a sister team has open spots (role I want to switch to), which would still allow me to work on the initiative — imagine going from project team to PMO team under same PPMD. Should I bring this up to anyone, or keep my head down for now? I’m new to this team, so don’t have many relationships yet
Recruiter tells you $ range for a position. Is it common to try to negotiate outside of that range, or are they typically actually telling you what their max really is off the get go?
Is the consulting professional work experience really worth so much more than industry work? By this i mean that you often hear that someone is coming from industry to consulting, with like 6-7 yoe to be offered a role at the second lowest level at the consulting firm, which usually takes 2-3 years to reach internally. Even hear a recruiter who said 1 yoe in consulting = 2 yoe in industry. Thoughts? Deloitte PwC KPMG EY McKinsey & Company Boston Consulting Group Bain & Company Accenture
Can I potentially get a referral to Putnam (NYC office)? I have a Biology degree and have worked in life sciences shy of two years. Would be happy to chat further! Putnam Associates
Anyone willing to give a Deloitte or Accenture referral? I have 1 year + experience in management consulting and several years within the public sector (U.S. Senate).
Too soon to boomerang? Left my last firm about a month ago for a tech company and I am not liking my time at my new company. Left on good terms and my old boss is receptive to the idea of my coming back. Left mainly due to WLB, but I’ve heard that has improved a lot since I left since we actually hired enough staff now. Felt like I got bait and switched at my new company. Any pros/cons to leaving the position so soon? Can I remove them from my resume if I boomerang back soon enough?
Hi! Are any of you SDRs at HashiCorp, Inc. (Austin location)? Do you like working there? How's the starting pay? Opportunities to grow?
Can someone help me understand why FDD gets paid less than other M&A groups? I was looking at our FY22 market rates we are one of the highest charging practices in comparison to other Deals competencies (e.g., Valuation, Strategy, Data Analytics, Restructuring, etc.)
Love when the partner is tired and starts to get snippy with me. I just worked 15 hours too bud, I’m in the same boat as you 😩
Is anyone holding off on buying a house with the insane raising interest rate? It seems stupid to be taking 7% 30 year right now.
1 YOE as a data analyst, a month ago I accepted a role as a data scientist at one of the big 4 for 108TC start date is Jan 3rd. I recently received another offer for a tiny startup consultanting firm as a machine learning consultant Tc115. Is it worth reneging my offer? I think I may do more ML work at the smaller firm but idk if I would have the same mentorship and also whether it’s worth giving up the big 4 brand
5 weeks in, and I’m done. Call me crazy, but I feel like I want to get corona, quarantine myself for another two weeks and get this over with so I can go out again.
I know backwards planning is what we're "supposed" to do, but is that really the best, most efficient way? Is that how you do it?
I got a verbal offer today for an in-house position with my dream employer (F100/energy). The caveat: it’s for a different position than the one I applied for. I met with them & received some details while they gauged my interest, but still feel uncertain what the day to day would be or if I’d like the substantive work. Would it look bad for me to ask for a written job description at this point? Currently mid level at AmLaw 100 & enjoy my practice area & genuinely like my colleagues & firm.

Hi. Can anyone convince me otherwise why i shouldnt leave the ad industry. As i approach my 30's im starting to dread how rampant the ageism is in our industry, and its making me start to question if advertising is worth staying in. I love the work, but im not liking the system.
Anybody else pissed off at their parents because their Facebook/WhatsApp remedies to prevent the coronavirus are gonna end up making them sick?
