Apps like this exist. But yeah, the best option is to rent your house and rent a new one in NY because the pricing dynamics doesn’t match most of the times. And the apps demand a fees which is an overhead
Nice sentiment and idea, but you’re not realizing what you’re asking..A 3 Bedroom 2 bath apartment in Manhattan these days is 15k+ a month, someone who can afford that probably already has a house in CT or somewhere else. They can rent a house like yours in CT for much less than what they pay for 3B here.
You really need to do thorough research on NYC schools. To get a comparable education to CT public schools, you’d likely need to send them to a private one in nyc. The good public ones are competitive, not easy to get in. There are also free schools for gifted and talented, you need to read blogs to understand how they work.

I agree… I was paying $3.5K for a 512 sf studio in Midtown before I bought across the river in Hoboken… that was in 2014…
U could always rent your house and rent an apt
Thank you for your feedback and good points. We will need to adjust our expectations for what we can get in NYC.
