As long as you prepared the place right before starting the process , you should be fine. Popcorn ceilings are normal in some cities depending on when those homes are built. Only an issue if the ceiling is disturbed. Not all popcorn ceilings have asbestos either

You’re fine. Do a deep cleaning for peace of mind and have them air out the home while they do. You’ll be okay

No. We just wanted the popcorn removed regardless.
This is such a liability on you and the contractors.
So you knowingly bought an old house with visible potential issues, didn’t get said issues inspected / tested properly, and then are blaming the prior owners for being dirty due to a popcorn ceiling? What is this post even asking?
