We just moved into a 50 year old house. We got the popcorn ceiling removed in the garage plus had the walls done. We didn’t use an official asbestos expert because of the price.

The horrible, dirty people that lived there before us left us a crappy mess. Hope we are not exposed, nor the neighbors.

As long as you prepared the place right before starting the process , you should be fine. Popcorn ceilings are normal in some cities depending on when those homes are built. Only an issue if the ceiling is disturbed. Not all popcorn ceilings have asbestos either

like

You’re fine. Do a deep cleaning for peace of mind and have them air out the home while they do. You’ll be okay

like

Did you test the ceiling for asbestos?

No. We just wanted the popcorn removed regardless.

This is such a liability on you and the contractors.

So you knowingly bought an old house with visible potential issues, didn’t get said issues inspected / tested properly, and then are blaming the prior owners for being dirty due to a popcorn ceiling? What is this post even asking?

I too am confused

Used to be around 23 BMI and 18% fat pre-pandemic in 2019.

I tried the macro calculators but I'm getting mixed guidance
