I am a senior associate also in BigLaw up for promotion at the end of this year. I blocked 30 min twice a day on my calendar. During those times I go to the mother’s room on my floor and pump with a traditional pump. I have two sets of parts so that I don’t have to wash anything at the office, I throw it in a bag and bring it all home and run two cycles on my Baby Brezza. I drink water and mother’s milk tea all day long, which I really think helps, along with extra calories (postpartum weight loss will have to wait). If necessary, I schedule calls that I don’t have much participation in during those times, and I generally take calls on my cell phone with AirPods in so that I can transition smoothly between my office and the mothers room. The mother’s room has a monitor I can plug into and keep reviewing docs / sending out emails, as well, it’s pretty seamless.
The first week was hard, but I am now a month in and it feels like a normal part of my day now.
For me personally, my top priority is keeping up with breastmilk for my baby. If I don’t get the promotion this year because I pumped for an hour a day during the workday, then this industry is beyond messed up but ultimately I don’t care because I am doing what my baby needs. This is obviously a very personal choice and at the end of the day fed (whether breastmilk or formula) is best — this was just the decision I made.
Last thing — I feed baby directly mornings and evening and WFH the days that I can, so I am only pumping 3 days a week. Maybe that helps too.
I'm replying here now and hoping to remember to come back. I pumped for all 3 of my kids while working full time in BigLaw between 15 and 19 months - it can be done!

Just pump with your office door closed and keep working, keep a fridge under your desk, it was a non-issue for me.
I shared some of tips and thoughts in this thread (I'm Paralegal 1 here).

I pumped in my office with the door closed and locked. For offices with glass walls, my firm will offer to put up a screen. If you don’t have a lock, you can put a sign on the outside of your door to not disturb. My firm will also give you a miny fridge. I ended up pumping a TON because I could sit there and work and would forget to stop the pump.
