I just saw a stat on SHRM that best in class orgs have $1,100 per employee budget for HR (including all HR FTE’s, systems, etc) this seems unreal. Is anyone willing to share how they develop their HR budget? And what’s included?

Hi! I have experience in the service industry, customer service to be precise. How easy will it be for me to transition to customer success? I am looking to increase my earning potential and I know customer success positions especially in the tech industry have a higher earning potential. I will appreciate any help or tips to help with this transition, thank you.

Any clinical reporting folks on here? What type of company are you at and how are you liking it? I provide reporting services in an academic hospital medicine division at a state institution. Reports are mostly performance based and quality improvement (ex. discharge by 10am, length of stay, 30 day readmission, census on Medicine teams at the hospital, etc.) I would love to hear who you support!

Anyone have any advice for asynchronous task and team management?

I’m a Product Manager who’s also managing a Product Designer on Pacific time. I’ll be in CEST for about 3 weeks next month and I really want to make sure I knock it out of the park on the asynchronous management.

Supervisor said I couldn’t have week off for vacation this summer bc another coworker of higher seniority asked off the same week and two people can’t go on vacation at the same time because of staffing. But this coworker that asked off works different shift than me? He works 1st shift I work second. We have a total of 8 workers and no more than 4 work a day. can easily be covered. This has never been a problem until this year (we got a new supervisor). we’re used to being short staffed anyway

OFFERS & NEGOTIATING - Has anyone made a counter offer to a company and had the company rescind their original offer? For context I requested a later start date and now I am nervous they will essentially say rescind the original offer and basically say never mind! Any opinions or feedback to my anxious brain?!

I’m a Talent Sourcer at my company and tend to take on lots of side projects. My boss recently ask me to make “reports and trends” a priority and asked for data to about what is driving the market and how we are comparing. She also wants me to make a proposal for this project but it’s such a large task I don’t know how to start. People pay a lot for software and data about this stuff I feel like I’m not gonna find everything we need with Google and spreadsheet. What would be your next step??
