Have you tried anxiety? It has me up at 4:30 AM every single morning
Hahahaha
I started waking up just 15 minutes earlier each day until I reached a more comfortable wake-up time. It helps your body adjust. You can slowly start making it 30 mins in about a week or two and eventually an hour. You'll feel like you have a lot more time in the day with that extra hour in the morning.
Use an app like Headspace for short 5-minute meditations. I know it doesn't seem like much, but it really does help to calm my mind and set intentions for the day.
You may have to work on going to sleep early in order to work on getting up early. If you go to be at midnight or later, getting up is simply going to be hard.
I’m not a morning person at all, but a few years ago, I started getting up and working out each morning (and I hated working out)… but this has done wonders for my mental health and how I attack the day. Now it’s just routine.
Morning routine-wake up, immediately make bed so you aren’t tempted to snooze, start laundry you put in washer the night before, exercise (tell yourself just 5 minutes - you will usually do more), shower and spray daily cleaner in shower, brush teeth, put on face mask, wipe bathroom sink, head downstairs for tea/coffee, while kettle is heating unload dishwasher racing the kettle beep (it takes less than 5 minutes), put boiling water in tea cup, while tea steeps load any dishes in sink in dishwasher and wipe counters, head back upstairs with tea to do hair/makeup, move laundry to dryer. Start work. Fold laundry when ready on a call. I am WFH. At lunch go for 5 minute walk (usually end up doing more). Do NOT check your email before you start work. It is not brain surgery we are doing. If it were a true emergency, someone would call you. 30 minutes will not change the outcomes.
