Thinking about quitting before a year. In my contract it says that I need to repay sign in bonus, but nothing about paying back CPA prep materials. Should I assume that they won’t make me pay for CPA prep materials it since it’s not in the contract? And if they will ask to repay it, can I push for a waiver since, again, it’s not in the contract? Thanks!

I have an offer to leave for another Big 4 firm. Leaving for various reasons. I don’t want to leave until I get my bonus for passing the CPA exam. 1. Can I get my bonus even though I’m leaving the firm? 2. Is there a penalty if I leave the firm after I get the bonus? 3. When should I turn in my 2 weeks notice? I heard they let you go on the spot if you leave for another Big4. Thank you in advance.

I just ordered my first Chanel! I never got myself a milestone gift before, but I just found out I passed my fourth and final section of the CPA exam, exactly one month before my 30th birthday. And I busted my butt for it, while working 50+ billable hours a week. I wanted to get something that will remind me of this feeling for years to come. I hadn't decided on a Chanel until I absolutely fell in love with the quilted Trendy CC. I'm ecstatic!

I work in a midsize firm not a big four. I’m in a small group within my firm and I enjoy working here. But, there are things here that are very unfair and I’m contemplating leaving. I am an experienced senior this is my six busy season and there’s another senior at the same exact level as me just passed the CPA exam like I did. so I’d say we were neck and neck. I don’t know if it’s because I am a woman (all of our management staff is mostly men). They use him as a manager he gets to be in

After a year in public accounting, I’m thinking this ain’t it for me. When we were in the office and on site at clients it was amazing, but I have been doing all my audit work from home since March and feel like I haven’t learned anything, and every day is miserable. I have one CPA exam section left and I honestly just want to collect my $5k bonus and bail. Do you think they would try to recollect that money if I were to do that? Things could change, but I’m looking at this possibility.

CPA FAR Exam first week of January. At the moment, I’m not confident at all (NINJA trending score 60%). When is the latest someone should schedule a CPA exam in January? I’m currently wrapping up a 9/30 YE, but unsure of when the 12/31 YE busy season really picks up in January.

Would love some wisdom and advice. So I took my current job as a property accountant right when I finished my bachelor's but before I had finished my master's. I have accepted a full-time offer to work in PA September 2021. I know things will also be busy in PA, but I wanted to try and study and/or knock out some CPA Exam sections before starting in September. Would you recommend that I stick it out in my current role or look for something in government accounting? CONT....

Does anyone know if one of the CPA testing accommodations is extended time to finish the exam? I have a disability and I get extremely anxious when taking the exam and I lose my focus and concentration for a long time and that has really affected my performance on the CPA exam. I always run out of time and I haven’t been able to pass any exam. I have attempted FAR 5 times already and never pass of course.
