I hope we/they are less competitive than what I am seeing from my manager who is older Gen X. I am so saddened and upset to be around someone so toxic, and when we both identify as female. I wonder if Millennials can be better at just understanding everyone has their strength, and build that up, and as managers we should support that. I have no idea if this is generational, but throwing it out there?
So interesting that we just discussed this emerging trend at work yesterday. I'm quite honestly excited. I can't say I know what it's like because I haven't been under one as yet but I can imagine that they'll bring a fresh approach, as current millennial CEOs already have been, to the table.
I work for a millennial CEO, and directly report to a millennial VP. I've been in my role for 3 years and can honestly say that I enjoy their leadership style. They are open and transparent with their goals/expectations, and I feel like they truly care and respect the team.
